I had this book on my bookshelf for months ..... Somewhere I always knew that it's going to be a special read, just not yet. I wanted to save it for the perfect moment, the perfect day and I am genuinely so happyyyy that I waited. I have finallyyyyy picked this book in Dec like the last month of 2025. 2025 is the year when I started reading romance & I am sooo sooo happy that I am ending this year with this beautiful story. Summer in the City is a perfect pick for people like me who loves classic 2000s rom-coms. This story is about our FMC Elle who is an anonymous writer, and our MMC Parker a tech billionaire. It's a story about two different people, two different personalities & how they met & connected for lifetime. I mean duhhhh it obviously has happy ending 🥺😍😍 You will see memories, moments & lot of traveling. Like for me Edinburgh & Switzerland are my dream destinations but Alex made me believe that New York is sooooo magical & now I have added that place to my wishlist..🤗 You know romance books are expected to give you the feeling of spice, drama, and a little fictional fun… but I found so much more in this story like love, care, respect, ambition, dreams, patience, and hope. There are lot of awwww & hawwwww scenes🤭 you know what I mean right 🫣 but few ones will just sooth your heart ❤️ 🎀 I am not going spoil the story, but I can promise you one thing: “This book will wrap you in a warm hug and leave you with a happy heart.” 💗💓 And because I want to hold on to this feeling for a little longer, I am not picking up another romance book soon 💗 🥰

when i saw this book was coming out i HAD to buy alex aster’s writing is so beautiful and i really felt connected to the characters. i wish the book was longer. and i didn’t want to let go of the characters. i loved how elle wasn’t there for parker’s money and she had a deep connection when i read the first couple of pages i knew it was going to be a good book.
