How does this adhere long term to flat surfaces that can't be wrapped? I have an oil pan with an exhaust pipe that's too close for comfort.

It should stick well, but you'd be better off using something to insulate the heat from the exhaust than trying to reflect the heat away from the pan. Fiberglass wrap is meant to keep the heat from hot exhaust in your exhaust system. This tape is meant to reflect heat from components you want keep cool.

Will this stick to a silicone inlet? Or is it only for use on metal inlets?

I’ve used it on plastic and metal but not silicone. It might work for you but why not go with a high temp silicone hose?

I have a mk6 gti would this stick to the fire wall?

I personally think it will but you need to clean it and prep it really well.
