This is the strongest stander available. I am very heavy AND I need to put a lot of pressure on a stander, so I found many of them to be dangerously wobbly or weak. This is so heavy and strong that it essentially cannot break. And if tucked under a chair or bed leg, it holds steady. I recently “stole” my living room one and added a new one, using them to create toilet bars/standers when my handyman explained that my walls and their supports were too thin to safely support a heavy duty wall mount safety bar. Instead, we used the extra holes on the base (there to allow different positions for the bars) to screw it to the bathroom floor. It is insanely sturdy and safe! Best of all, I was able to position one of them so that it was also reachable from the shower, making it much safer to get in/out! These also works as “safety supports” for walking. Before I switched to two canes, I had one anchored under a chair at a crucial spot where I often needed to stop and grab a support and rest. This was the safest and most comfortable way to do that. By the way, as indicated in the listing, these can NOT be used for walking, as they weigh over 25 pounds! They are best for helping you get up or supporting you while you stand. While these are big and not terribly attractive, the safety and comfort they added to my toilet and shower routines is well worth the loss of stylishness!

This is a very heavy and sturdy help to me. I had foot surgery and can only put partial weight on the effected foot. It works well (kind of front right side forward)caddy cornered under my chair. It seems very well made and has options on where to put the bar over the base. My husband assembled easily with hardware and tool provided. No instructions included in box. Keep looking for hardware if you cannot first locate it. Small plastic package. I recommend

I bought two of the standing rails to go along the sides of my treadmill. They are so sturdy and I slid the metal bases in under my treadmill. This gives me two anchored handholds at exactly the right height. Perfect, perfect, PERFECT...(!)

These are incredible once I filed a hole so the screw fit. They are super stable and give me great transfer stability. Don't opt for used though. Those ones aren't as described and were possibly defective returns. I got one of those too. The new ones are perfect for my needs.

Disappointing. Is very sturdy and solid weight. But the screw holes do not line up to secure them firmly. I have one screw that I managed to attach. The others I cannot bend or move the pole to line up with and secure. Would be perfect if I was able to attach all the screws. As it is, I don't feel safe using it.

Have purchased several - mainly use for a sturdy hand-hold for navigating across open spaces where railings can't be installed. They supply the stability for our balance issues. Easy to set up. Easy to put almost anywhere stability is needed. All have come with extra screws. Have sent some to a relative's house so they will be there when we visit. Great quality.
