Had bought this product thinking it's performance would be similar to the Transcend JetFlash series of 512GB USB flash drives, but was disgusted by its performance. Absolute waste of money. Significant overheating issues that throttle the write speeds down to 10-15 MBps after beginning with speeds in excess of 350 MBps for the first 10-15 GB, when transferring data in blocks of 100 GB, with file-sizes greater than 1 GB. The lower priced Amazon Basics 1TB SSDs are much more reliable performers delivering sustained throughtputs of 300+ MBps under the same use case. Even Transcend's JetFlash USB drives deliver sustained write speeds of 100+ MBps. Avoid buying at any cost.
