Arnold Maxi Edge .095-Inch x 100-Foot Commercial Trimmer Line

We bought this trimmer line so that we could cut it in strips for our weedeater head that requires cut pieces. This was the best value for our money and it's really no big deal to cut them up yourself. This particular brand does a great job of cutting and lasts longer than others we've used in the past. This line is heavy duty and just better made and holds up to the weeds and brush better than some others, which I'm very glad about because that means it'll last us longer. I also like that it's easy to feed the line through the back of the packaging instead of opening the entire thing and having line in a mess all over the place. I'll definitely reorder this when we run low and would recommend this product to others.

My weed wacker is supposed to have a 0.65-inch line, but I tried this cause 0.65-inch one was too weak and so it took so long to keep pulling it out over and over. This one is REAL HEAVY DUTY one. I love it! It saves my time and money.

I liked that Amazon had it at my door overnight, I thought I was buying a normal one pound spool. Nope it was much shorter and smaller. The cutting "tool" is useless. The string did fit and work in my trimmer, inused almost half the roll to do my small 1/8 acre backyard that was overgrown. The trimmer line was better then what it came with stock, it seemed to cut much better with the new line.

I used it yesterday and it lasted a very long time before I tapped it for more line. I tapped it no more than two times and we have a good sized yard. When I finished it wore down, but didn’t break. I also use my weed eater as an edger. I’m impressed!

The manual for our Stihl Electric string trimmer states that the maximum size it will take is one size smaller than this. We,however, thought it would be worth the risk to attempt running the next size larger by trying this MAXI Edge .095” line in it. Risk paid off! It is a little difficult to wiggle the line into the holes of the head where the line is gripped, but it seems to be way better line for the power of the electric Stihl! Notably less frequent “bumps” required to outfeed more line, outfeeds very well when “bumped”, and seems to translate the power of the motor into hitting the weeds harder with more impact then the thinner line recommended by Stihl as Max line diameter.

The line is pretty good, reasonably durable, but the worst thing about the 'oackage' is the unusable supplied cutter. Consisting of an open notch with an embedded blade in a fingertip held piece of plastic, one cannot apply enough force with only fingertips to cut the tough trimmer line. Use of a pair of wire cutters is much more practical.

I am new to the world of trimmers/weed wacking, and I didn't have a clue what type of string to buy for my Troy Built Bump Head Trimmer, I read review after review and finally I made the decision to purchase this Arnold Maxi-Edge String. It lives up to it's name and more. I've had it for two months now and I've yet to use up the first 20 feet of string I loaded into the trimmer. It rarely breaks. The old string broke every time it touched the house. Not this stuff, it is made strong and to last. I recommend, and it is super easy to load into my trimmer. It comes with a razor type device to cut the string as soon as you're ready.
