I had a check engine light come on my 2021 VW Tiguan.... I am not very mechanical but $20.00 for a scanner would be cheaper than a visit to the dealer.... This OBD2 worked easily and although it comes with minimal instructions I plugged it in and turned on the ignition... Hit the DTC (detect trouble codes) button, and it gave me a quick answer. Manufacturers control U3501 code... googled that code and found out my Battery may be low and the ECM may have had low voltage that turned on the check engine light... I cleared the code, and the check engine light went out, and maybe I will replace my battery if this light appears again... maybe the best $20.00 I have spent in a long time.

I purchased this item so I could look for specific issues with my vehicle, concerning its ability to pass an emission test in Maryland. Turns out, the issue was not related to the emission test, and I was able to pass with no problem. This was significant in that under Maryland law, if all owners of a vehicle are over 70, an emission test is not required. By the next time my vehicle comes up for inspection, both my wife and I will be over 70, so this got me through the last emission test this vehicle will ever need so long as I own it.

Pretty good for the cheap pricing! I did expect better especially having multiple different scanners of the year and just had a really nice advanced scanner my stepmom bought me for around the same price on here so also comparing on that. This scanner is great, wish it had StateOfCharge & better battery test or able to perform alternator/starter/battery test like other cheap scanners are able to do. It does say the battery voltage but that’s it so not really advanced. I give it 6.9 out of 10.

I know next to nothing about these devices. I just needed something to clear an error code for not having done an oil change in the last 2 years, (I've done less than 5K miles in that time and my oil looks fine). This wasn't very expensive (probably cost me less than having a shop reset the codes for me). Took me seconds to resolve the code. Very easy to use.

Works great for quick diagnostics. Can see live feeds for some sensors. I've only used it on a handful of vehicles and have not been disappointed. I'm a mobile mechanic and keep it in my glove box when I'm not out working. Great way to get business with a quick free scan and discussion.

Great tool to have in your tool box. I purchased this scanner because my engine light in my 2017 Chevy Colorado came on. I literally got the scanner the next morning. Plugged it in to the port and it told me my O2 sensor on bank 1 was the problem. It worked fast and it was super easy to use. Not to mention the price that was great to. Thanks you guys for making it more affordable for the DIY guy that I am. I recommend this to everyone.

Received it and used it same day as I had loaned out my other one. Quickly provided the code. I read it, addressed the issue, and cleared the code in less than 5 minutes. Easy to use, highly affordable. Recommend.
