I’m debating buying a second one!
I moved into a house that was long time lacking in TLC, and I am by no means a DIY kind of person. The house had a Yale x Nest on it which worked fine for a while and then started eating batteries before becoming unreliable. I put alot of research into what lock I wanted because as you’ll see in the video the door frame and trim need to go up and the door needs a serious washing and painting and I wanted something functional that would look nice once the project is done - but, unfortunately, I couldn’t really wait to replace the lock until then. I went with the black lock because the door will ultimately be painted pink and the door knob was black which meant one less thing to buy in a never ending financial “to pick up” list. I started my search wanting something that could integrate with both iOS and Android operating systems without needing a separate app. For clarity, I do have the Lockly app and I do use that for controlling the lock settings but I can also use it in Apple HomeKit and my guy can use it with whatever homekit’s equivalent is for Android. The one feature of this lock that put it in the forerunner spot prior to purchase was that I can use my watch or my phone to unlock it, too. For me that was something I hadn’t considered but it incredibly functional because I’ve always got my Apple Watch on (but don’t always have my phone). Once the box arrived I was shocked at how heavy it was and upon opening the box it was clear that the lock itself it incredibly well built. It was easy to install and it’s beautiful. I’m happy I went with the black because I think it’ll achieve the look I’m going for once everything is finished. Now, I’m going to start with the con because it’s much shorter. The little flap to protect the screen is cheap as hell. I wish it was a little firmer or felt a little more stable but it’s very flappy. Having said that, it does NOT come on the lock. You place it with a little sticky thing. I wish it was hinged and not sticky because maybe that would help. For the pros: 1. The app is flawless. 2. It will prioritize Bluetooth over WiFi (but you can change this if you want in the settings) to preserve battery and it will automatically default to the least battery draining option. 3. The batteries are USB rechargeable. And, Lockly provides you with two batteries. 4. They give you two manual keys just in case of power outages or something but you can recore the lock. I didn’t, but if I get another one I will as to keep all the house the same key. 5. You can select times for certain functions. For example: if you have a cleaning lady on Mondays and don’t want to give her a code, you have automate it to be unlocked between certain time frames. 6. You can choose to have the lock automatically relock at a set time frame after being unlocked. I have mine set for 30 seconds because if I need it unlocked for longer I just disable the auto lock. Now, a couple things that would make me reorder another one or add another: The usage log tells me who’s entering the house and how they unlocked it. You can add multiple fingerprints for the same user. I added my thumb and forefinger because it’s not uncommon to have my hands full of items and it’s just easier sometimes. Also, if someone had larger hands some angles are tough to read and so having the backup is nice. I can choose who has access, I can rescind access, and I can choose which type of access they have. For example: nobody, other than me, needs my lock to open with facial recognition… except my Dad. My Dad is elderly and this is really easy for him. The scrambling numbers on the key pad frustrate him and his phone is literally just a phone and he’s too distrusting of the government to put his fingerprint in there.. so, unbeknownst to him, I set up facial recognition that way when he approaches the lock will open. The door does chime when it re-locks, but it’s not loud and you quickly become accustomed to it and it doesn’t phase me. That said, if you want, you can turn it off. I love being able to remotely check to ensure the door is locked and I also love being able to use HomeKit for this. I did set up an easy 4 digit code through HomeKit for my Dad as the Lockly app wants at least 6. The HomeKit and Lockly apps really integrate well together. I wasn’t thrilled with the price point of this lock but I’ve been using it for a couple months now and I truly wouldn’t hesitate investing in their products going forward. Oh, and, one last point - my entire block last power last week during a storm. I did have my physical key, but the locked worked great without it due to the ability to run off my Bluetooth. All in all, this is a phenomenal product. I’ve included a few screen shots of the app. A couple of them are edited down just so you can see the visual of which user has which opening capabilities without showing personal data. Hope this helps!

Game Changer
It is not often I leave reviews unless the product is outstanding in all aspects. So I am writing this review. The Lockly Visage met all those criteria. I did research for two days to find a smart lock. I did searches, I read reviews, and went through most of the locks on Amazon (there are a lot to say the least). From inexpensive to expensive ones. I narrowed my search down to three contenders. All highly recommended locks. What gave Lockly the nod was the face recognition and home kit compatibility. Many times my wife and I have come home with our arms full and searching for keys in your pocket is an adventure. It's like having an arm full of groceries and swiping your foot under the back of your car to open the tailgate. Face recognition solved the problem. I found the Visage build quality to be solid and easy to assemble. Okay enough about the reason I purchased the Visage. It took me no more than 20minutes to get up and running after opening the box. Side note: If you have an old door like I do the deadbolt holes are smaller than the 2.125" hole required to install the Visage. Hole was enlarged and the installation moved forward. The instructions are very straight forward (which I missed a step see later) and easy to follow. Once set up and tested I set up wifi, face recognition, fingerprint recognition, PIN code as well as Home Key. Each set up was easy and needless to say all worked as I have a habit of testing and retesting when I get a new product. In summary I would highly recommend the Lockly Visage and I confirm if you are looking for state of the art smart lock it is well worth the price. One other side note to clear up what happened in my initial setup. During set up I missed a small but important detail the magnets on the door sensor are supposed to be with 3/4 of an inch. If not the door says it's open when it is actually closed and auto door locking won't work. This is the best part, I emailed customer service on a Sunday evening mind you and got a response within 30 minutes which resolved the situation. I had mounted the magnets further apart than recommended. My mistake but the big take away is that I got a response Sunday evening. That's a first. I will end with this. I recommend the Lockly product and the lock has been working flawlessly.

Best smart lock available
I have had many smart locks over the years. Multiple Kevos, a couple of Augusts and a level lock. Nothing compares to the Lockly Visage Zeno. I’m not going to go through the litany of features it has. Just going to focus on how we use it. It was easy enough to install. Took me maybe an hour. I setup everyone in my family with a code, their fingerprints and the face scan. Super easy in all cases. The facial scan works so well its all any of us have used. It unlocks within a second or two every time. Zero issues with connectivity unlike every other smart lock I have had. It comes with two rechargeable batteries. More than 9 months in I am still on the first battery. 28 pct. I will switch this weekend. My August burned through 2 expensive 123 batteries every three weeks. My wife and kids have complained about every other lock we’ve had. They have all thanked me for getting this one. Expensive as heck I know. But worth it. Raining, hands full - all good. It unlocks in an instant without touching it.

Facial recognition is the star of the show
This is a fantastic lock! It supports so many different unlock methods, including temporary codes if you have people that need to get into your house when you aren't available. The facial recognition is the real star, though, I love being able to unlock the door while my hands are full. It uses a proprietary battery, but it lasts an extremely long time and they included a spare! That means you can charge the spare when the installed battery gets low and just swap them out. The app works well and it integrates with my Google Home setup. It doesn't offer a lot of functionality to Google Home, but it does have the basics.

Very Little Room for Improvement. Excellent Smart Lock.
Whether it’s using your face to unlock the door, remotely locking up, or adding temporary access codes via the app on your phone when something unexpected pops up, these features all work exactly how you would want them to AND they even give you two batteries so there’s never downtime for charging which is an underrated pro move.. With so much done so well, , the couple issues I have aren’t complaints that subtract from my appreciation for this smart lock in any way. If anything, I am respectfully adding my thoughts to the many that clearly went into making such a great product. As far as the product itself goes the sensor that detects whether or not the door is open or closed feels like a vestigial appendage that is hanging on for dear life. It’s a purely aesthetic issue but it’s one that many people will be displeased with as well. Hopefully they can figure out a way to make it a more integrated feature but until then, I removed it and am ok with only knowing if the door is locked or unlocked. My other knock isn’t with the product itself, but with how quickly they advertise buyers will be able to install it. Frankly, Lockly’s claim of a 15 minute installation anyone can do is rather dubious. If you’re a locksmith; contractor or work in the trades it’ll be easier but even for these guys, 15 minutes is a rather hyperbolic expectation to set for the first attempt. I don’t imagine 2-3 hours is uncommon for people who rarely reach for their tool set. Couple things I recommend if you’re not Tim the tool man. 1. Give yourself enough time and block off at least a couple hours on your schedule for this install. It doesn’t require many tools but if you never use them, your mind probably isn’t conditioned for this to come naturally and you could struggle. That being said I do believe even if you never have touched a screwdriver, given the time to work through everything, you could install this yourself. 2. The written instructions are ok but I recommend going a step further. Watch an unpacking video so you’re familiar with what comes with the lock so you know all the different parts and pieces since you won’t use all of them. Next watch the installation guide a few times so you know the process before starting. Also keep it loaded on your phone to refer to while doing the install so you can check your work. 3. Have some extra tools handy when you start. The holes for my strike plate were not catching one of the screws when I installed the new strike plate and it kept me from making it flush and the door could not shut smoothly. I had some toothpicks and glue I jammed in the hole and you could do it with as little as wood shavings. I recommend having something to shave off some material in this location in case you have problems closing the door. TLDR: Excellent product. The best way I can describe it is by using two of the biggest names in the cell phone world… It’s got the latest features ( latest for door locks anyway) like android but ALSO has the bug free, smooth functionality and simplicity of an iPhone. That being said, If you’re not well acquainted with your tools or working with your hands, don’t count on their claim it can be installed in 15 minutes. Give yourself time to install it so you don’t have to leave home with a front door that doesn’t lock.

Great! Fast Biometrics (face recognition is SO easy). Solid, looks great, reliable, decent app
Installed 2.5 months ago, pretty impressed so far. Primarily chose due to the facial recognition… and the fingerprint reader makes for the easiest backup. Admittedly, took using it for a week or two before I was fully confident the facial rec would be reliable… it IS! I go from handsome fella to hardworking dude utter mess, to sweaty tennis guy etc. etc. - recognizes me like it’s my own mother. I’d try to throw it off and wear a wedding dress & maybe a matching tiara, but surprisingly I don’t have either one handy. Plus, the neighbors would talk. Both facial rec and fingerprints are super fast, even in low light. It integrates well with my Alexa, and I’ve had no issues using the app remotely. Setup was a breeze, instructions crystal clear- had it on the door in 10 minutes. The lock feels solid, looks GREAT, and has a long-lasting battery (still going strong months later). REALLY like that it came with an extra battery- zero downtime- swap, lock and go. I’ve seen feedback that some folks are disappointed that it only comes with 2 physical backup keys, but for me? I bought this so I wouldn’t NEED keys. Hid one in the garage, another inside in a drawer and they haven’t seen daylight since. Finding clear warranty or support info wasn’t super easy- fortunately, zero need (will include an update if that changes). Appreciate the PIN pad scrambling numbers for added security; crime evolves, and this keeps pace. That said, sometimes it takes a few tries to open this way; possibly some user error but this method seems less consistently accurate than the others. But again, that’s the 3rd of 4 backups to the facial recognition… which has been 100% on target. Pricey side, but for those that can afford and appreciate the convenient tech, I highly recommend purchasing. I’d get more but I don’t have any more unsecured doors- and tempting, but it’d be silly to display one over the fireplace. Sincerely- SO happy with the purchase. Totally worth the investment & great way to make George next door jealous. But he’s still got a nicer mailbox, soooo

Excellent lock with excellent customer support.
I will begin with one very important issue: The Amazon information page for this item does not state that there is a version 1 and the current version. The latest version incorporates the smart sensor and magnetic ‘strike plate’. Version 1 however uses an external sensor and external magnet capsule. I was caught out here after purchasing what I believed to be the identical product on a repeat order from Amazon. Both versions are identical except for this greatly improved sensor redesign on the latest version. I’m assuming that most people would want the better design. This is where the Lockly product support comes into play. After stating my case to Lockly support, they agreed to send me the upgraded parts albeit I had to cover the delivery charges. Lockly therefore saved me the hassle of having to return the product to Amazon complete with open component bags etc which could have been an issue even though it was the Amazon ad which was the cause of the problem. Okay, with all that being said, I can certainly recommend the Lockly viage Zeno product. Here are a number of factors pertains to this recommendation: 1. Easy to install 2. Feels solid and durable though time will tell. 3. Each one of the entry modes are also solid and reliable. 4. The phone app is intuitive, responsive and easy to use for implementing entry modes for each individual. 5. It is wi-fi and Bluetooth compliant and works with Alexa too. There is more to this lock and I’m going to bore you with a technical briefing. It is enough to say that I was so impressed with the Zeno visage install on my front door that I made a repeat purchase for the back door.

Highly recommend Lockly Visage Zeno
I recently purchased the Lockly Visage Zeno smart lock and installed it on my front door. The product arrived next day in good condition. All the parts and pieces are contained within made-to-fit foam packaging so I can't imagine these items ever becoming damaged during shipping. The directions for installation are easy to follow, and all the parts and pieces are labeled with numbers/letters which correspond to the installation instructions, so installing the lock was a breeze and took me about 20 minutes. The lock comes with two lithium batteries so you can alway have one charged up and ready to go. Once I downloaded the app, it was very straightforward to create my user profile, add my fingerprint to the device, and set up the facial recognition feature. The device connected to my home wifi on the first try. Additional users can be added to the access system so I'll probably create a user profile for a good friend and my sister too, so that they can access my apartment if ever needed. I've been using the lock for about three days and I am very happy with the function and performance so far. It's really cool to just walk up to my front door and the facial recognition feature opens the lock instantly. It's my first time using a keyless entry system and I'm very pleased to no longer have to worry about forgetting my keys when I leave the house. My dad has an apartment building and he's always complained about having to service and maintain access issues for the tenants, I'm going to recommend this product to him and I think it will streamline the access issues he's dealt with for so many years. I also intend to install this product in an Airbnb that I manage because I can see that it will simplify the process of providing temporary access to the guests who rent the house. I researched many options before choosing Lockly, I'm extremely happy with the quality and reliability of this product, and I think it is worth the price paid.

Very easy to install
The lock is extremely easy to install. Immediately after installation, all the features except fascial recognition worked perfectly. I couldn't get the lock to recognise me. I was offered support by Lockly and after a firmware update I was able to add my face. It now works brilliantly. Having two long lasting interchangeable batteries is very handy.

It does everything all in one, connects to everything, electronically and physically secure
I don’t normally write comments or reviews but this lock deserves the time and effort, I can’t speak highly enough of it. Now I’ve fully tested and happy with it’s functionality, I’m ordering 2 additional the same for other doors on the house. I purchased the Lockly Visage after doing a lot of research trying to find a smart lock that would do everything I needed, in particular I wanted it to work with Apple Home (without a separate hub for the lock itself) and most importantly Apple Home Key. Whilst I wasn’t looking for facial recognition I now find I’m using this more than unlocking the door with my Apple watch or PIN. I used a local locksmith to re-key the override key to my other house keys and install the lock, the process was simple and went with no issues at all, I’m not the best handyman but after watching the locksmith install and a number of utube videos I believe I could have just done this myself. The setup process was simple, I just followed the instructions and had it all up and running and connected to Apple Home in about 5 minutes. The lock is installed on my shed/garage, with access to Apple Home I can run a simple automation to turn on lights etc whenever the door is opened and lock the door at 6pm each night or when I leave home, no more wondering ‘did I lock the shed’ when I go to bed each night! My positives to using this lock: - Simple install and set-up. - Connect to Apple Home and can use Home Key from my phone or watch. - The override key was a must and was easily re-keyable to my other keys. - The PIN or fingerprint reader for access on the odd occasion when I don’t have the phone or watch, but I’ve found the facial recognition is easier. - The door sensor to know when the door is open or closed, whilst its still early days I find myself checking in the app to see if its closed and locked, it hasn’t missed yet and I’m sure my trust will build as time goes on. There is one negative with the door sensor, see suggestions below. - The rechargeable battery, this was a big plus, no buying standard batteries. It comes with 2 so I have a second battery charged ready to go when one gets low. In saying that the lock has been installed for 2 weeks and I have certainly given it a workout, and the indicator still says 97%. - The Lockly support is great, I contacted them multiple times prior to the purchased and always received a reply on the next business day, thanks Sol for answering my many questions. - I quizzed my locksmith on how solid and secure the lock was during the install, he said it was a great lock and well built (the locksmith I used doesn’t sell Lockly so there was no benefit to him singing its praises). My suggested improvements: - The door sensor looks like an afterthought, there is a small cable and you need to attach the sensor to the door and the magnet to the frame. Whilst this is quite small, easy to attach and works perfectly, it doesn’t look great if you are a bit pedantic like myself. When I contacted Lockly, there is an improvement on the way, they didn’t mention when but it will be built into the lock. - For the Lockly app, it’s simple and works great but there isn’t an option to have the door lock at a specific time of day, only to lock after a period of time (5, 10, 60, etc minutes), you can customise the number of minutes until it locks but I would have preferred to also have a time of day option, for example lock at 6pm at night if it’s still unlocked. In saying that I was able to achieve this using a very simple automation in Apple Home. My final comment – It does everything all in one, connects to everything, electronically and physically secure, great lock and thoroughly recommend it.

Incompatible in Australian apartment due to lack of fire rating
While this lock has proven to be quite good it turns out it can’t be used in an Australian apartment because it is not fire rated something that was just told to me by my Strata board and the people who do the fire testing. Why on earth accompany based out of Australia does not realise that I look like this is not compatible in. Most Australian apartments is completely beyond me. After over a year I have to now take the lockdown and spend hundreds of dollars on another lock that has a fire rating and not the features that I liked in this particular lock. The company needs to make sure that people who buy this lock for an apartment are aware that it is not compatible under the fire and safety act for apartments and I’m incredibly upset and angry but I now have to spend a fortune buying one of their other locks that is via compatible and hiring a professional locksmith to install it at a cost of eight or $900. It is not good and the company needs to address this.
