A visual A to Z directory of the most popular varieties of indoor plant, including evergreens, ferns, palms, cacti, succulents, flowering plants and those with variegated foliage. With 350 photographs and clear advice on position, feeding, watering, pest control and propagation, this handy guide enables you to identify and grow them with confidence. Review: Book is great - I particularly liked the fact that the plants are in alphabetical order according to their COMMON names that I know them by not the horticultural names. Recently purchased another houseplant book and the only way I could recognize what I was looking for was by the picture. This book gives good advice on Gift Plants (for the most part throw them away when they finish blooming) and other odd information that is very helpful. I recommend this book highly to those who are just ordinary house plant owners and would like some plain advice on how to get the most out of their plants Review: Would be better if the commonly used names were listed with the ... - Would give five stars except for one reason which is out of the seller control. The listed names of plants are the official name horticulturist use. The commonly known as names are in the back index. Would be better if the commonly used names were listed with the official name of the plant.

Not All Plants Are Created Equally
This book is loaded with good information for both experts and novices alike. Before you overwater, underwater, overfeed, underfeed, or make any of the dozens of mistake that I have made over the years, open this book to find out how to treat your plants so that the plants can reward you with their full beauty. Not all houseplants have the same requirements and this book will guide you to get the best out of your investment.

Good for looking up by scientific names
A bit over my head. Good for looking up by scientific names. Doesn't have common names and the print is small. Good information.

A Good Book for Plant Lovers
This guide to houseplants is an excellent source for those who want to know the proper names for their plants in their homes. The illustrations are clear enough to identify plants and the care guide is a good source to start with, in knowing what specific plants require for their care and maintenance. The book is small enough to carry if one wants to bring an informative guide in selecting any plants for their home. I recommend this book for anyone interested in learning about houseplants!

Not a fan!
The book boasts it contains information on 350 of the most popular houseplants. I found one of my plants in this book! Unless you are trying to grow rare plants, this is not the book for you!

I've referenced this often.
I recently moved and couldn't find the houseplant book I had used for years. It took me awhile and some research to find this one. Glad I did. The pictures are great and it's very descriptive. Easy to figure out how to take care of just about any common houseplant...and some unusual ones also.

Plain text, easy reading..
Simple, easy to find the plants as they appear alphabetically... Basic advice but that's all I needed so I could look after my houseplants at work and advise customers on basic care when asked..

Great reference book
Great reference book, however I feel it would benefit from an update with some more unusual or unconventional indoor plants. Overall a good book to have in my collection.
