These don’t have to be taken out n winter. I’ve used several all over our gardens and often cover them with mulch. Easily connected to another hose. Easy to keep from kinking. Unroll and leave n the sun and use sod staples to keep the hoses in place. 30 foot length is great. Water disbursement is even and gentle

This is a quality hose and worth the money, as it's a 5/8" diameter. We bought four of the 100-ft variants to cover a very long stretch of sod over a french drain that wasn't getting enough water to properly root. It was an investment but the sod cost a lot more than the hose. I particularly liked that it delivered the water evenly and slowly over the entire length. I used valved splitters rather than chaining the hoses end-to-end. A couple of items to point out: it's unclear what the water delivery rate is. Yes, it states that at 60 psi (which is the max our well delivers), the rate is 2 gal/minute, but it fails to state which of the six hose lengths that rate is for (hose range from 15 to 100 ft). Also, there's a warning that if you don't turn on the water and the hose is in hot sun, it could be damaged unless you unscrew the end cap and give the water some expansion room. There's also the warning not to exceed 60 psi, which could be a problem for municipal systems. As other commenters mentioned, unreel the hose and let it heat in the sun before installing. I found the best way to do this without getting a bend is reel it out -- place a dowel through the coil, put a weight on one end, and let it unreel as you walk.

Especially the connectors on these hoses tend to wear out quickly.

This is the third soaker hose I have purchased this season and it is by far the best. It reminds me of soaker hoses of 40 to 50 years ago that does what one needs in the garden. Lesser quality but not much cheaper hoses just don't do the job - splitting, spewing water everywhere and just lower quality. BUT THIS hose is higher quality and the beads of water are very consistent over the length of the hose, like soaker hoses used to be years ago.

Using this soaker on my tomatoes, potatoes and bean plants. it works well. high flow rate for my application, which shortens run times of sprinklers. I did the calculations using a water flow meter and pressure gauge. with a 15' 3/4" diameter supply hose at 60PSI, 50' of this hose flowed 5.9 gallons per minute. That works out to about .118 gallon per foot per minute at 60PSI with a 3/4 supply hose. Your results may vary. Based on that, a 10' stretch of hose on a row of tomatoes (for example) flows five liters per minute or about a gallon and a quart per minute of run time. Hose seems to be good quality, with a nice drip rate and few pinhole sprayers. It is pretty stiff when cold, so lay it out on your driveway or in the sun somewhere and get it warmed up. It'll get more flexible. I staked mine in place and snaked it through my tomatoes and beans, and formed a figure of eight for my lettuce. Working great, cuts easy, accepts 5/8 hose barb inserts without too much difficulty. Five stars - nice hose.

Been using these all summer and got to say they are the best Soaker hoses I've had, they feel like they are made of better quality materials than other hoses I've had, and whatever your trying to water actually gets water, so you don't have to leave them on forever. The one thing I noticed that I don't like is that they are guaranteed for 10 years, but no where on the package is a name address or anything identifying where you would seek warranty services. Guarantee ain't worth anything if you can't get hold of the company.

Love this hose method of watering the garden because it saves a lot of water. The water goes right to the roots of the plants rather than putting on the surface to filter down to the roots, not knowing just how much water gets to the roots. Plus none of the water is wasted by evaporation, it stays by the roots. By watching the water meter, it took about 50 gallons using a sprayer, but only 15 gallons with the soaker hose. Granted, I have a small garden, but I plan to add another hose next year to prepare the rows better for the soaker hose.

UPDATED: August 1, 2020 UPDATED USER EXPERIENCE: I had to have one of these soaker hoses replaced right out of the box two years ago due to the soaker function only working in the first few feet. Within less than a year of use (June 2019), I had to repair a 1" long split in one hose. I was able to finish last year that way, but before I could even use these hoses in July 2020, I had to repair splits in each. I used them over a two-day period to soak two rows of trees, and when I checked them this morning, one had developed another major split. This is the 5th time these hoses have been used over two years. Considering that they continue to split, they are now useless as they cannot be trusted to work without leaking large amounts of water. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Despite the implied value of a 7-year warranty, these are poorly constructed soaker hoses and cannot be trusted. I DO NOT RECOMMEND these hoses under any circumstances. ***Original Review Below*** PROS: This is the best soaker hose I have found. The hose soaks evenly, end-to-end. NONE of the others I tried could do that. CONS: Upon first use, one (of two I bought) hose had a 1/8" x 1/4" hole that resulted in a "gusher" at that point. Once I covered that spot with tape, the rest of the hose soaked evenly. COMMENTS/RECOMMENDATIONS: I had recently tried three other potential replacement soaker hoses to replace two that are 25 years old. None of those other hoses could soak evenly along their full length. I planned to buy two more of these, but these soaker hoses are no longer in stock. I had also arranged the return of the one defective hose, but with no replacement available, I think I will keep this one, repair the one large hole, and hope the remainder of the two hoses hold up for a few years. I would highly recommend this hose if not for the hole in one hose.

Hooked it up to my garden hose and it worked great right away. Looking forward to using this all summer long.
