WEATHERPROOF ADAPTER
All my radios have now been converted from SMA to BNC using this company's adapters. The rubber tube on the base makes a good water seal. I recommend them.

Not a secure attachment...
I bought this item for my UV-5R handheld radio to provide a better attachment method for antennas. The product does what it is supposed to do. I however do not like how it fits onto my radio when connected to the antenna. The attachment method looks off and does not provide good stability for the antenna. The antenna wobbles when lightly shaking the radio. The color finish on the items is shinny and does not look black but more of a dark chrome. Overall, I am not satisfied with the purchase.

Inconsistent quality, 2/3 won't fit.
2 out of 3 adapters are too tight to fit on corresponding BNC connectors. The one that works is nice and smooth, the other two are unusable without putting a lot of torque on the connection to lock/unlock and significant effort to pull the pieces apart when unlocked. Minor note (doesn't cost any stars IMO) they're more of a black chrome than black anodized.
