When I snaked the ub drain it brought back hair clogs that looked like steel wool, with this remove/destroy hair clogs? what is the shelf life

I agree with the two responses below. Drain Care will not open a clog drain. But it will dissolve grease & other organic material. It will over a very long time dissolve hair. But if the hair has nothing to catch on it should hopefully move thru your pipes. Our drian pipes were very slow draining when we brought the house we live in now, but after using Drain Care, they have been working great. I do treat my drains about twice a year. And Drain Care has a shelf life of about 2 to 4 years. If you get this product just make sure that you follow the directions, & you won't be sorry on how well it works.

does this work in toilets?

Yes, it works fantastic. I used to have issues with the toilets in my previous house & once I started using this. Bye, bye problems. 
I used it once a month and alternated between them from month to month

How many treatments in this 18oz. container?

There is a scoop inside the container that is marked 25.0 cc.  The instructions say to use one scoop as directed for 3 consecutive days.  -  I would guess that you will get 15 + treatments per container.

No scoop.  How much do you use for a drain in volume measurement, i.e. Tspn or tspn?

Thank you for your inquiry. The scoop may settle in the powder during shipping. Two table spoons is the equivalent of one scoop. Mix 2 tablespoons in 16 ounces of warm water. Pour the mixture into the drain and wait 6 hours. Use the Zep Drain Care  Build-up Remover for 3 consecutive days to clean the pipes, then once a month for maintenance.
