The smoothness of the retrieve, the amount of line it holds and quality of the construction are incredible. We have used the higher-level sized Penn reels (2,500 & 5,000 series) with great results. These top out at 20 and 35 pound drag. They do great for most fishing. This Shimano reel is for HEAVY, hard-fighting fish. It tops out at 62-pound max drag and performs great with large barracuda, sharks, halibut, salmon and we are hoping to try it on Tarpon. As long as your line and leader are rated for heavy test (50+ pounds) you should have no issues. I bought one for my hubby and he used it in Marathon, FL to catch this 20 pound Barracuda in February 2021.

I purchased this reel February 2017 unfortunately had to move for my job and didn't get to use it till April 2019. I have used it on 3 fishing trips, caught maybe 10 small amber jacks. The reel started making a grinding noise so I took it to a authorized shamano reel repair shop in Florida. They discovered defective gears and want $130 to replace the bad parts.... cant believe that a expensive reel would only last 3 trips!!! Stay far away from these twin power reels...junk

This is an awesome reel. 60(+) Lbs of drag make it capable of handling just about any fish. The operation is smooth, and there is no play whatsoever in the body.Use to catch redfish, black drum, jacks' and other big game species.Absolutely love this reel... Shimano outdid itself...

The reel is very smooth, with enough drag power and seems very reliable. The quality looks good. However, the big issue for me is that the spool capacity is smaller than expected. I bought this reel for catching big fish such as tuna or amber jack. When comparing it with Stella 18000 and Saltiga 6500, the spool size is much smaller. I am worrying that it doesn't have enough line capacity for catching big fish.

Excellent. The 10000 is perfect. I wanted something I can creek fish with and also catch 40 pound tunas with. This is it. BTW the handle I got wasn’t the o shaped handle pictures it was more like a () handle. Which I like More so I’m not complaining

Everything in it is to love. Awesome performance and stopping power. Caught lots of mid size Bonito and , so far, one 40lbs white sea bass off Enseda, Mexico.Incredible finish on all parts and excellent materiales used in building it. Feels super strong. Also super smoot operation. The right reel altogether.

Caught a number of trevally and barracuda. Very smooth and light, excellent for popping for big fish. The price for this quality reel is good.

Landed a few 20 lb stripers at the Cape Cod Canal. Super smooth retrieve. Awesome drag. Still waiting for the ultimate test of a 40+ lb fish.

Quasi come un Shimano Stella, ma con un prezzo un po piu abbordabile.IL MULINELLO da spinning per tonni o per quasiasi pesca dove i veri mostri possono apparire.

lo preso per pesca a fondo e bolentino da affiancare ai 3 stella 4000 sw che già possiedo .x pesca a fondo e a bolentino alle corvine o ombrine sono mulinelli magnifici che a metta prezzo equivalgono i più blasonati stella.
