Fantastic quality! Top-tier projector.
Fantastic picture quality. Very good build quality, and the os is pretty good. Blacks look super good, super bright also. I use during the day in a dim environment and still looks fantastic. Huge 150”+ screen with great quality. I also connect my switch 2 sometimes, and it plays on high frame rate keeping the quality good. I’ve connected my PC to play Forza at 240hz and it was so much better than a small monitor. Very immersive. Comes with a nice case too so super portable. It does have a slight up angle, so good for being on the floor, not so great on a stand unless you can angle the stand downward.

Valerion VisionMaster Pro2 is great, even better than the Xgimi Horizon 20 Max
Overall, the Valerion Pro 2 is an amazing projector that I would recommend to anyone who wants an excellent image, a responsive gaming experience, and a bright projector that handles HDR very well. I watched many youtube videos (including the hook up) and read several reviews (including RTINGS review that said the Xgimi horizon 20 max is the better projector overall), and even went to best buy to see the image of higher end projectors (like the Sony VPL-XW5000ES) to help me find a great projector that produces amazing images at a decent price range (I got the Valerion pro 2 and Xgimi horizon 20 max on sale for around $2,400 each for black Friday). As an aside, the Sony projector was much more crisp (native 4k with no pixel shifting), had no RBE, no laser speckle, black levels these two projectors do not have anything close to natively, and looked about as bright as the Valerion pro 2 and Xgimi horizon 20 max even though it was rated at lower lumens. (Everything I am mentioning is based on what I saw because I do not have a way to scientifically measure any of the claimed specifications). Specifically, I hope I can help people deciding between the Valerion Pro 2 and the XGIMI Horizon 20 Max. I compared both projectors side by side and noticed several differences. During my comparisons I was projecting with a 1.20:1 throw ratio using their optical zoom settings with no keystone correction onto a 100” 1.1-gain white screen, using both projectors’ movie/theater modes with Dolby Vision Bright and with their laser-dimming options turned off (having them enabled only makes the Valerion even better than the XGIMI). I also used the optical lens shift on the XGIMI. The XGIMI was a little brighter, but not by much (based solely on my vision, so very subjective). Almost everything else I compared between the two was either similar or better on the Valerion Pro 2. The Valerion Pro 2 had a settings menu that was much easier to navigate, with more options to fine-tune the image; it had better color accuracy and white balance, noticeably lower laser speckle, reduced RBE, and quieter fan noise. The Valerion produced a better overall image, and even with the dynamic laser setting turned off, the XGIMI still had a very blueish/purpleish black color that I couldn’t figure out how to fix. The worst part of the XGIMI, aside from the bluish/purplish blacks, is the laser speckle, which was noticeable even when standing 9 feet back from the screen. My girlfriend also mentioned that the XGIMI’s image looked flatter compared to the Valerion’s, which appeared more three-dimensional (and I agree). The bottom plastic body of the XGIMI also bends/flexes under minimal pressure, which isn’t something I expected at this price point. The Valerion’s build quality seems to be much higher, though that does make it heavier. One aspect that is bothersome about the Valerion is that the fan does not stay consistent. I would prefer the fan to maintain a constant speed so the sound remains the same throughout use. However, it increases or decreases its speed to maintain a safe temperature. This is acceptable most of the time but is very noticeable during quiet moments while watching content, especially with the projector mounted directly above my head. The XGIMI does have better speakers, but even a soundbar would produce better audio than either projector. If choosing between these two models, I would highly recommend the Valerion Pro 2 over the XGIMI. I am returning the XGIMI and keeping the Valerion Pro 2. I also tried the Valerion Plus 2 a month ago, and it was great (just not as bright as I wanted for my setup, and it lacked the optical zoom I needed). As for gaming, both projectors performed very well. My previous projector had 35+ milliseconds of lag, but these both reportedly have around 17 ms at 4K 60. I did not formally test it, but controller input felt much quicker, with no noticeable lag compared to my previous projector (using a PS5 at 4K 60 fps).

Best in class projector 2025- less then $3,000- Valerion PRO 2
This is the one to get if you are on a $3,000 budget. I tested a few models out our before arriving at my decision. What I loved best about the Valerion Vision Master 2 besides the great look and build is the cinematic picture quality, looking almost 3D at times. It seems like the most polished and supported projector in its class having a mature and developed software system behind it. I’m amazed by its ability to look colorful and punchy even with a bit of ambient light in the room. I’m excited to save for a rising ALR screen to go with it to maximize its daytime viewing and to get the best performance out of it in general. Amazon sent a XGIMI Horizon Pro in which I purchased, I was really looking forward to compare it with but unfortunately the box arrived with a significantly dented in corner. The auto keystone correction feature was malfunctioning and the projector was also displaying a 4:3 image when it was supposed to be 16x9. Not cool and a total waste of time and a tying up of my money, Amazon did refund me in a timely manner. I purchased the Vision Master Pro 2 with the matching $150 gimbal attachment for to help with setup and it works great, super sturdy and moves at nearly all angles. I’m very happy with Valerion Pro 2 and look forward to watching it every night. Having Google TV built into the unit is the only way to to go. Setup was as straightforward as it gets. The deep blacks, smooth natural colors and fluid seamless picture qualities have one me over!

Pro-Level Specs at an Unbeatable Price
Incredible upgrade! The VisionMaster Pro 2 delivers exceptional brightness, color, and clarity. Setup was a breeze (up and running in minutes), and it looks stunning on a 144" screen. It’s the best value in its class. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Easiest 5-Stars Given for a Product
I couldn’t be happier with my Valerion VisionMaster Pro Projector. The first thing that caught my eye was the sleek, timeless design - it’s compact, modern, and blends right in with my setup without looking bulky or outdated. It really feels like a premium piece of equipment. The picture quality is incredible. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the sharpness is on par with much more expensive models I’ve used in the past. Whether I’m watching movies, gaming, or running presentations, everything looks crisp and detailed. Even with some light in the room, the image still holds up beautifully. What impressed me most is the overall value for the money. You get high-end performance and design without having to spend a fortune. It feels like I got way more than I paid for, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, stylish projector that delivers on all fronts.

The Best Prosumer Projector on the Market
This is the best consumer projector that I've owned. I previously owned the Nebula Cosmos 4k and the JMGO N1. They were both excellent projectors, but lacked the resolution and flexibility of the Valerion. In addition, the wireless audio interface is unmatched. Although my previous projectors would connect the audio wirelessly, I They both lacked audio channel control and true ATMOS. The Valerion masters the audio control with absolutely no loss in signal. In fact, it exceeds the capability of other units connected directly with an HDMI cable. The Valerion gives the user full control over focus, keystone, picture size and position, gamma, brightness, contrast, lumens, and true black image, among many other controls. There's absolutely nothing about audio and image quality that you can't control. So, there is a slight learning curve, but you can always reset if you get too many feature out of balance. The projector is quiet and has the quickest startup and shutdown of any projector I've owned. I have it mounted on a weighted pedestal which gives you great security and mobility. You can project straight forward or at an angle from the side of the room with equal picture quality. There's absolutely nothing that I dislike about this projector and highly recommend it for even the most advanced home theater.

Updated: Good Support After Power Issue
Update 8/12: After engaging with Valerion Support (who were highly responsive) they confirmed that their expectation was that it was a failed power adapter. They overnighted a new power adapter, which was clearly a different design, having replaced the previous version. Plugged it in and it powered right up. Glad to be back in business, because this thing really does look great. Additionally I shared that the power cord is too short given its design (the "brick" is a base with an plug on it). They confirmed that they are already working on the newer version, and added me to the list to get that new version. All in, seems like the company is attentive to its customers, and to earning a good reputation, which adds confidence given how new they are, and the price they are commanding in the market place. Back to satisfied! Keeping at 4 given these issues should have been sorted prior, but kudos to Valerion for a quick resolution. Original Review: Mine is bricked. Will not power on, won’t produce a status light. I saw at least one more reviewer mention this. It’s been stationary the whole time I have had it. Beyond that. I loved it. Very sharp. Good motion processing. Strong colors and contrast with deep black levels. Almost excessively bright when turned up. We were very impressed! I’m on the fence of whether or not to order another. The reviews are great, and it reportedly out performs its peers… but, seems like an expensive roll of the dice.

Fantastic Image, worth the price.
Beautiful picture. Couldn't be happier. I've had good Epson and Optoma projectors in the past, and this blows them away. I could go on and on about the image: great blacks, vibrant color, a sports setting that works. But let me mention some other huge positives. Super easy set up, took just a few minutes. The projector automatically sizes and focuses the image based on your screen. And speaking of screens, the partner Valerian motorized screen is fantastic. Works perfectly with the projector, providing a great image even with some ambient light. Again super easy set up. Takes one button to program in the length you want it to drop. Automatically syncs with the projector to come down when the projector is turned on and curl up when its turned off. Definitely recommend getting the projector and screen bundle if you are in the market.

Expectations exceeded!
Fantastic projector! This is my first laser projector and I'm incredibly blown away by the picture quality. Very easy to setup. Plug and play. Figured everything out without having to read the manual, which is nice. Came in a nice travel case. I was able to setup on my camera tripod. Looks nice as well in the space - it's not an eye sore. Very bright! Currently setup in a very well lit space with a lot of windows. Obviously not ideal watching during day time, but definitely doable. Got 3D files to work, though a bit tricky. Doesn't like exfat on the flash drive, but ntsc was fine. Got cheap DLP 3D active glasses and it works. Video games look glorious. The black levels are beautiful. The vividness is not like that of a mini led screen, but it somehow is more enjoyable to watch. Great purchase and would purchase again!

I received my Valerion VisionMaster Pro2 a few weeks ago and I'm really impressed, especially after the advice from Valerion Support who helped me get the EBL (Enhanced Black Level) set up correctly. At first, I didn't really see the difference in dark scenes, but after their precise instructions (completely exit the menus, Laser/Brightness >6-8, total black room), and testing with their dark patterns + my own captures, it's clear: EBL changes everything! Here are 3 photos that I took myself on the same very dark test pattern with exactly the same settings except the EBL: - Photo 1: EBL disabled → grayish blacks, classic DLP washout - Photo 2: EBL on Low → already much deeper, good compromise without artifacts - Photo 3: EBL on High → really inky blacks, almost OLED-like, details in the shadows that pop! Warning: as Valerion says, it works especially on predominantly dark scenes (low APL). In very bright or mixed scenes (explosions, strong white subtitles), the EBL does not activate or little to preserve the strong moments – this is normal and well thought out. Other highlights: - Super vivid colors (RGB laser, 110% Rec.2020) - High brightness even in HDR - Easy configuration (auto-keystone, focus, etc.) - Smooth gaming (4ms / 240Hz if you play) Small minor downside: on High, there is sometimes a slight laser pumping in rapid transitions (subtle flicker), but this is rare and Low is perfect for most films. Recent firmware has improved this. For a competitive price, it is clearly one of the best quality/price ratios in 4K laser today for deep blacks. I highly recommend it if you watch a lot of films/series in the dark! 5 stars without hesitation!
