Great cup but rather cumbersome

this tumbler is great for not leaking; I use it mostly for water for my hot yoga class; I have not used it for hot coffee as yet; my only complaint is that my husband threw out the directions for how to clean the lid and I have not looked it up online as to how to do it so I am not thoroughly cleaning the non leak lid apparatus

I love the size, the color and the lid. Of this cup . I'm giving it 4 stars because it doesn't really keep my coffee hot. If I let it sit for 20 minutes, the coffee quickly gets cold even with the lid closed.

Oh my gosh, they've actually done it! So many travel mugs and cups prioritize not leaking over the actual intended purpose of the device: to drink from it. So many of them dribble out liquid during the act of drinking, therefore staining my clothes, or require extra steps like pushing a button to drink from them. I was actually thinking I was starting to understand mug-in-the-car people because I always ended up with coffee on my shirts anyway. Because of all of these reasons, I have never met a travel-friendly mug that I actually liked...until now.The Owala travel mug is not only secure enough that I feel OK leaving a full cup of coffee in my work bag with my laptop and papers, but it's an utter pleasure to drinking from. I've experienced no dribbling, good but not overwhelming flow, and it has an easy lock/unlock mechanism. I love it so much that I purchased a second one in the larger size to give to my husband (the smaller 12oz size is perfect for taking my second morning cup on the go, and it doesn't feel like I'm toting around a hulking cup!). Plus I love the chic kelly green. It makes me happy when I look at it!I am thrilled with this purchase, and will be 100% recommending this to anyone I know looking for a travel mug alternative.

I had been searching for a traffic mug to bring tea or matcha to work on and while I loved my travel mugs from Target, they were old. The leakproof seal was worn down and the insides were so stained with tea/coffee it felt like time to retire them. I bought the Owala in both sizes and I like the small size far better. I have the 40 grey water bottle and love that this little cup and the water bottle kinda match because of the color. I love the green! I also LOVE that they don’t leak. I make my matcha and make sure the lid is secure and tip it upside down to be sure and nothing comes out. I toss it in my work bag and know that I won’t get to work with a soggy work bag. They are a little pricey for travel mugs but honestly so worth the investment. I know it’ll last me for a long time. The bigger size is perfect for those days when you know you just need a little more caffeine. I’m officially an Owala stan and can’t wait to buy a few more for my mom and sister. The slider is a little awkward at first, but eventually you get used to it and it doesn’t feel awkward to use anymore. I always hand wash and it’s perfectly easy to wash and keep clean.
