I got mine today. It sounds like it has grandulars of something loose inside. Can hear it shift when turning. Will it get in my water lines?

No. The one I purchased did the same thing. I use it in line for a restaurant ice maker. Clean good tasting ice for fountain drinks. My second filter of this type.

This filter is designed for commercial food service, not residential use. If you are using it on an ice maker at home, you should change it about once/year.

Does this filter make the ice crystal clear?
