A simple, brilliant idea with a win for everyone - environment, company and you
So far, I love them. I saw the founder on Shark Tank and was REALLY impressed by what they were doing and some of their future products as well. As an avid and Master Gardener, I thought, this is brilliant!!! I have some and am starting seeds right now. Such a simple idea with a win-win model. LOVE these and the company's vision.I have placed another order for more in fact. I'm not buying peat pots (peat bogs take hundreds of years to form and are not a practical resource) or plastic ones anymore.

Cow Pots are great starter pots
These cow pots are great for starting seeds and eventually planting in either raised beds or in the ground. The only thing you need to make sure of is to keep them damp at al times. Water from the bottom and spray water on the top when the seeds are sowed. The cow manure acts as a fertilizer when they go in the ground and again make sure they are quite damp when placed in the ground or raised bed.

Use asap before they disappear!
Order looked great. Unfortunately my granddaughter was helping me clean up and they were thrown away accidentally before I got a chance to use them. Looked large and sturdy from what I saw.

These are awesome!
Love these Cowpots! So much better than starting seedlings in plastic trays. No root shock and no accidents tearing roots when getting the plants out of the plastic tray.Although these Cowpots are a little less effective than starting from seed using peat pellets. Peat pellets seem to sprout faster and continue to grow at the same rate once potted or planted in the ground. I started bell peppers in the Cowpots outside and two days later started the same bell peppers inside using peat pellets. A month later they are all transferred into container pots or in the ground. The bell peppers in Cowpots are a little smaller and have less leaves than the peat pellet bell peppers.I still like these Cowpots and will continue to use them. I will use them for seeds that sprout really fast and need a bit more room and depth than the peat pellets. Like my cucumber bush or butternut squash. I don't want to put them in containers yet because they are so small that the birds and insects get them before they have a chance to get going but they are too large to stay contained in the tiny peat pellets. In this scenario these Cowpots will work nicely.Be warned that the Cowpots dry out much faster than anything you put in a container pot or the ground. I usually water the Cowpots then water everything else and then water the Cowpots again. And I keep them in rows next to each other which helps them not dry out as much.

Good natural pot
Cow pots I have to give 5 star at this point, as material wise compared to another biodegradable pot! I only tried one pack this year. I started veggie seeds and am comparing them to another pot that breaks down. Once I transplant in the ground I will come back to update the break down of the pot comparison- my opinion though from what I can see/touch from the two pots the cow pots will probably be the true winner of biodegradable.

Easy
Works well and totally disintegrates once planted in the ground which is something I can't say for Peat pots...

Cost is a little high, but....
Not sure if better as this is my first time using these. So far they , plants started have damp off. Not good to start seeds. Maybe establish plants to help them. Although a good alternative of waste , not worth the cost. Jmo
