This book nook kit is on the simpler side and makes a great afternoon build, or an introductory kit for a beginner. All of the pre-painted pieces are in pressboard sheets and must be punched out. Don't remove them all at once, because they have numbers assigned to each piece that correlates to the instructions. Punch them out as needed, as you go along. There's also the lighting unit, a few stickers, and a small acrylic sheet for the windows. The pieces hold together on their own, but I always add a dab of glue to make sure everything stays put. The instructions are an 11 page fold-out booklet, in full color, and very easy to understand, though you may need a magnifying glass for the smaller details. This is a fun kit with a great theme, and I recommend it for ages 12 and over.

Very disappointedIt didn't come in the box which shows the finished product.And only a white standard box. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars.

I love this little book nook! It was easy to put together and has pretty clear instructions. I would have given it five stars except that the lighting did not work. I attached the wires properly and put new batteries in, touched it but nothing happened. I think it that it would be better to have a battery pack that switches on and off. And, to get a new one I have to contact the manufacturer…not going to. I’ll go to a hobby store and get a better light.
