Arielle Ford, the woman who helped launch the careers of Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, and Jack Canfield, shows readers how to take control of their romantic destiny in The Soulmate Secret. In this white magic counterpart to Neil Strauss’s Rules of the Game , Ford teaches you to use the laws of attraction to deliver your soulmate to your doorstep! It’s is a step-by-step guide to finding your own happily ever after. Review: Informative and practical! - I loved this book! I have worked with a lot of "manifesting" books but this one just touched my heart with its message. I really feel like I can manifest my soulmate! Arielle includes exercises she calls "feelingizations" that really help you to feel what your life could be like with your soulmate in it. I love the daily affirmation and love the part about "magnetizing" my soulmate to me. It is comforting and exciting to know that my soulmate is looking for me, just as I am looking for him. I say this affirmation at bedtime and in the morning and it sets a beautiful tone to my day and in my heart. As I was reading this book, I was trying to get a handle on what it is that I really want in a soulmate. I was not only thinking of characteristics and personality traits but I wanted a certain energetic feeling as well. One day at work, while I was grappling with trying to write down what that energetic feeling was, an old friend came into my place of business (I own a wellness center) and as he came in the door it hit me in the face that this is the kind of energy I want from my soulmate. (This old friend is married). It was like the universe was helping me in my search! If you're at all interested in finding a mate who sings to your heart, this is the book for you! You won't be disappointed. Review: and open up to receive an amazing partner who will co-create with us a fulfilling partnership - Arielle Ford has written "Soulmate Secret", a lovely book about following your desire to attract your soulmate. The 'asking' and 'believe' parts should be revised.
I read this book enthusiastically on November 27, 2009 and now I'm seeing all the signs from the universe echoing things from this book. Recently I got "6 months" in meditation and I realized "Hey, wasn't this situation mentioned in the Soulmate Secret?" I received numerous consistent dreams about my soulmate for the past year as well and in my intuition I know the way we will officially meet is something similar to one of the testimonials towards the end of this book. I only bumped down a star because I feel the author didn't really emphasize how important the "belief" part to manifestation. I mean I read this book literally years ago and now I'm seeing things happening and I KNOW it's because I recently healed a deep seeded trauma I had that hindered my belief that there was someone out there for me that can love me and see me exactly for who I am and not make me work to earn his love. But let me emphasize, this trauma was deep, DEEP, deep, seeded because it took me a few years to realize 'hey there was something screwy within my vibration because this isn't the type of love I was looking for'. The type of love I kept falling into I can describe was a 'co-dependent cycle of hell'. Sounds harsh I know but it FELT harsh. It made me hate myself and my partner (at the time) and it was SO painful that I was spiraling down a dangerous road of self harm. I don't blame what happened to me on the book. No not at all. If it wasn't obvious to me earlier how could it be obvious to anyone else? All I want to say is that if manifesting your soulmate is a challenge instead of a blessing it's not your fault. Be patient with yourself and ask the divine to help you. They'll send you that answer and even help you through the trauma if there is one. They'll heal you just like they did for me. And who cares if it takes you a long time. You're worth it! You're worth being loved! You're worth the love you seek. The "asking" part of this book needs a little revision too now that I think of it. Faith in the universe is super important as well. If you don't have faith that the universe can help you with anything then why are you searching for something more in your life in the first place? Not a criticism, it's just that as I mentioned some parts of this book needed to emphasize a few parts better than others. I really sympathize with people that despite their chaotic love lives they still have faith it'll work out someday, somehow. You guys are really inspirational and the main characters in your love stories. Follow your path as you see appropriate for yourself and the rest will take care of itself. But most importantly, be true to yourself. Be honest with yourself because that is where that epiphany comes and suddenly what was in the way is in clear view and you can finally get on the other side of the obstacle to where you want to be all long.

Delightful!
What an absolutely delightful book! I have enjoyed reading it so much and am going to enjoy re-reading it for a long time. I honestly think if I had this book when my marriage was falling apart I might have saved it! But no matter, time to try again with even better results. This book should be named "How To Learn To Love Yourself And Your Life Under Any Circumstances". I happen to be ready to start working on manifesting my soulmate and believe me I know I have a lot of work to do, and this book just fell into my hands. Basically it gives you examples of what others, including the author, have done and tips on how to just make your own life better and happier and how to enjoy the process. It also reminds you that it is a process and the Universe has its own schedule! There are many areas, processes, ideas and suggestions covered in this book and you would not have to use all of them if you did not relate to them. I have no doubt if you follow the advice in this book your life will improve, you will like yourself better and just as you realize that you are happy just as you are I bet your soulmate shows up. I certainly am going to give it a go! Wish me luck and read this book, you will definitely get something out of it.

The Law of Attraction Works for Many People!
I have read so much about the Law of Attraction and now I want to see if it works for me. Arielle Ford explained so many tips and techniques and gave the reader actual ideas to use to enhance the search in the universe. I also enjoyed the real-life examples. In the past, I have been in wonderful relationships, but they were not with my soulmate. Her approach that you must first be in love with yourself before you can truly love another is a no brainer, but how many people really put this into action. The exercises were also easy to put into action. Her ideas led me to re-think some of my ideas on finding a mate. Now that I am older and wiser, perhaps I can use the Law of Attraction to get the most rewarding relationship of all. Arielle guided the reader every step of the way and anyone-young or old-should be able to follow these simple instructions to find the Love of their Life! "A balanced approach to finding your soulmate"
After reading Arielle Fords' book, The Soulmate Secret, I found myself reflecting for quite some time on what I'd read. Many of the principles and excercises that she advocates were new for me, and some even challenged my beliefs as I'm a conservatively trained psychologist. Yet, the more I considered her approach, the more I agreed with so many concepts. The fact that one must first love themselves and be comfortable alone resonated to what I tell my clients every day. I especially appreciated the call for action that change requires. 'Luck' doesn't just happen; it happens to the prepared mind...and soul. To paraphrase Arielle: 'you have to help the universe along.' The excercises were easy to follow and provide just the right mix between deep relaxation and consciousness-altering suggestions. The book is well written and flows nicely. Arielle's own writing is interspersed with first person stories that effectively illustrate the point she's making. Reading between the lines, the book holds a deeper secret that Arielle touches on at several points. The importance of finding one's true soulmate goes well beyond the individuals' and couples' satisfaction. Love is synergystic and an energy that seeks expression. When soulmates connect, there is little drama and conflict. The relationship is based on trust, genuine caring and perhaps most importantly, a deep abiding friendship. Positive energy is invariably released into a world that needs as much of it as it can get.

Somewhat insightful but would not recommend to anyone younger than 40
This book contained *some* good insights and ideas on not only how to manifest a soulmate but also in the areas of self love and forgiveness. However, I think this book was written with a very narrow scope. As I was reading, I had the strange thought of "this book is not for me, this book is not for me, this book is not for me." But I couldn't pinpoint why specifically until I got to the end and it hit me. All of the examples the author uses in her book, the stories of those she's encountered who've found their soulmates using the Laws of Attraction, were all older, divorced, and/or *never* spoke about having children with their soulmates. Most of the couples were from the West Coast - which suited me just fine as I live on the West Coast too. But I'm 29, never been married, and longing to start a family. The author of this book mentions in the last chapter that she and her soulmate do not want children. I think because the author never had children/never wanted them, that it severely limited her perspective on one's search for a soulmate. When you're in the peak fertility period of your life and there are no prospective mates in the picture, the idea of finding a soulmate is different from someone who doesn't care whether or not their fertility window is closing. As mentioned, most of the examples in the book were of couples in their 40s and 50s. And that's great - if you're that age and you either have children already or don't want them. But for someone younger who does want children, it would have been nice to see more examples of couples who found their soulmate when they were in their 20s and early 30s, and hear about how children came into play in their relationship with their soulmate. Another thing I found irritating while reading...it seemed as if the couples in this book and the author either come from affluent backgrounds or are in places in their lives where they are firmly financially secure and can afford to take all the classes and go on all the trips they want in order to find their soulmate. And again, that's fine. But it would have been nice to see the perspective of a 20-something who is struggling to pay off student loans or someone who has yet to decide what they want their career to be. The New Age-y stuff was fairly easy to get through - I'm not a New Age person but I could get behind the affirmations and "feelingizations" (as they author calls them). That didn't bother me, though it IS heavy in this book, so if you are turned off by that kind of thing, you might not like this read. But the thing that turned me off was that I'm fairly certain I am not the target audience of this book...and that this book HAS a target audience in the first place other than just anyone who is ready to find a soulmate. A book like this, marketed toward people who want to find a soulmate, should be more inclusive and aware of their audience. If anyone has any recommendations of a similar book but with Millennials in mind rather than Gen x or Baby Boomers, please recommend.

Wabi Sabi
Wabi Sabi Love is exactly the best trhing I've read on how to keep your marriage 'alive'. It is the truth - and that sets you free to enjoy what you have. It is true that we are all imperfect but we learn to love the little imperfections. What if your love were no longer around for you to be annoyed with those 'little things' that seem to bother you for the moment. I gave this book to my daughter so she and her husband could learn to let go of insignificant little things that really didn't matter in their lives. You can see how to enjoy the good parts more and let the little 'problems' fade away. I do that with the love of my life. We enjoy our time together as much as possible. After all, that's all there really is in this world. This book shows you how to Love it all, and enjoy each little thing!

Amazing book and action plans!
I finished this book for quite while. It sounds a bit silly to do some of the exercises in the book, but I guess it at least enhances the self-love. Somehow, it was ended with Amma's hug and the author's prayers. Few days before I read this part, a friend in China mentioned her planned visit to Singapore for Amma's hug. I was very curios and wondering if Amma's hugs are available in Australia. I found she would actually come to visit Sydney in 2 weeks time. I was thinking about 'maybe I can go and check her out'... After reading this book, I definitely will go and meet Amma and dive deeper into my inner world. I found I could understand more of this book after my recent Hilotropical Breathwork. It's really inspiring. Thanks for guiding me in this journey. I will love to share more of my future partner with you soon! Thanks Arielle for the fantastic book! Mon, Sydney Australia
