Samsung BN59-01301A - BN59-01303A LED TV Remote Control for N5300, NU6900, NU7100, NU7300 (2018 Models)

This purchase was prompted by my inability to use the infernal, way-too-small remote supplied by the manufacturer of this otherwise great TV. This Samsung BN59-0130 actually works very well. It does not slip out of one's hand and fly across the room, only to land on the floor under a heavy piece of furniture. This remote will be less likely to get stuck in the crevice between the cushions of the couch with the popcorn and lost forever. This remote does not have hypersensitive sensitivity to touch, thereby changing channels or volume like a possessed demon. It has familiar symbols (and words) so one does not need to guess the function of the buttons, unlike its diminutive stepbrother. The Samsung BN59-0130 remote uses actual batteries and does not require a solar recharge periodically. You can actually hold this Samsung BN59-0130 in your hand without fear of crushing or breaking the remote. I 100% approve of this product and would heartily recommend as a replacement to its smaller less user friendly stepbrother shown in the photo on the right.

Worked right out of the box. Didn't have to program. Works just like the one that came with the TV. Buttons are the same easy to use. Light weight. Great price. Quality seems to be good.

Right product right on time!

This remote is much sturdier than another brand that I purchased. Unfortunately there us no period and no dash. It only does whole number channels, then you have to hit the channel button until you get to the desired decimal channel (2.3 for example).

This remote doesn't have the "fancy" Netflix and Prime Video (etc.) buttons for direct access to my streaming services, but it is the BEST in terms of durability and longevity. The other "off-brand" ones I bought (to get those nifty extra buttons) caused to Samsung TVs to overload the memory (a REAL thing--look it up) and would cause lagging and overheating of my TV, which also reduces the lifespan of the TV (as it would with ANY electronic equipment). TL/DR: Best remote in the long term.

My husband and I own a Samsung TV that originally came with this remote, and it has been incredibly reliable over the years. Recently, we adopted a 2-year-old German Shepherd who, despite having plenty of bones and toys, has developed a strange obsession with these particular remote controls. He’s chewed up three of them so far! While we try to keep them out of his reach, it’s nice to know that replacing them is quick and easy. The best feature of this remote is that it doesn’t require any programming. Once it arrives, I simply pop in two AAA batteries, and it immediately works with our TV. This makes it convenient when we need to replace one (which happens more often than we’d like, thanks to our dog). To be prepared, I recently bought two of these remotes at once, so we have a spare ready to go. I also appreciate that the remotes come separately packaged in plastic bags, which prevents scratches and reassures me that the product is new and unused. However, I’d love to see the company switch to recyclable plastic or bubble wrap for more eco-friendly packaging. The remotes are sturdy and hold up well to daily use. Even before adopting our dog, the original remote lasted for years without the icons on the buttons wearing off, which speaks to its durability. Overall, these remotes are reliable, durable, and incredibly easy to replace. I’ll keep buying them as long as our German Shepherd continues to find them so appealing!

Small things contribute to mental peace. This remote is a good example. When my original Remote died, I initially bought a 300/- cheap one. I detested it being of Chinese origin, but didn't want to research much. Then the trouble started the fake had circuitry issues and was firing up the TV in thebmiddle of the night at full volume. I had to pull the batteries out to stop it from this ghostly Control of my TV. This Samsung Remote is perfect and similar to my original Remote. Works perfectly. I bought a soft cover for it so my kid wouldn't ruin this one again.
