...I typically prefer wet dry sandpaper, but this has a place where you can't always sand conveniently. I've seen a lot of batteries die in the cold because of mediocre cleanliness on terminals. Fall NOW) is the time, clean is not good enough, they need to be shiny. Thanks Schumacher! ( I'm 67, these guys have been around since I was a kid, can't improve on great products. As a teen, seen so many elderly ladies replace batteries in winter because they did'nt get the terminals clean in the fall, h@ll it happened to me!

If you’re the type who maintains your own vehicle then you should have one or two of these cleaners. They’re low price and they work well. When one gets too worn in a few years you will have another one to take its place. Using this will help extend your battery life.

I like this style of brush. They clean both the battery terminals and the battery connections. The one I received was built so tight, that I had to use channel lock pliers to get the metal cap off. But overall, it’s a good tool at a good price.

Being in the north, the terminals tend to have some sort of corrosion. This allowed me to remove any buildup on the terminals and make a better connection.
