This works surprisingly well. I used to only buy the Marc Antony beach waves spray which has been increasingly harder to find. This is probably the best alternative to that so far. Helps keep frizz down and maintains wavy textured hair. It isn’t greasy or oily and makes my hair smell great!

I dont know if should be using it as a hair product or a perfume. It smells like those ouds from Dubai. The product works as promised, it gives you the volume and the wavy texture if you follow the instructions properly. I have wavy black Indian hair and it works perfectly well for my hair type.

Game-changer for fine, flat hair (not just for waves!) I almost skipped this because it says it’s for “wavy/beach hair” but if you have straight, fine, flat hair like me, keep reading... My hair type: fine, straight, no volume, doesn’t hold style What I wanted: volume + texture without stiffness What I did: • Applied a small amount to slightly damp hair (almost dry) • Twisted into a loose bun • Let it dry completely Results: • Soft, natural waves (not crunchy) • Noticeable volume at the roots • Hair still felt light, not sticky or heavy It honestly gave me that effortless “I woke up like this” texture that I can never get with curling irons or other sprays. Bonus: the scent is AMAZING! Fresh and slightly beachy. Bottom line: If your hair is fine and struggles to hold volume like mine, this works way better than you’d expect, even though it’s marketed for waves.

Works very well and has a nice subtle beachy smell. Adds texture and enhances curls. It can be sticky initially, but if used with a diffuser it dries nice and curls are soft.

Works great on my mixed-wavy hair, I need some extra support to get better results with my mixed hair type and this does the job. My waves come out soft and defined enough without going over bored. It smells great and is light.

I wanted to try this OUAI Wave Spray because it was not a sea salt spray. However, this product has too strong of a smell for me to have in my hair. In addition, it also has dyes (that’s on me, as I am usually on top of reading ingredients/labels). With this said, despite the smell and dyes, I did decide to try the product (just once), to see if it worked as it claimed to. Here is my experience with the product: I sprayed on my hair in the morning, and the smell lasted all day. It also made me sneeze for about an hour after application. If I had the extra time, I would have rewashed/restyled my hair before work. Otherwise, it enhanced my waves and combated frizz without the crunch and sticky feel, as it said in the product description. In conclusion, to give an idea of how strong the smell was, I could smell this over my D&G Light Blue perfume. So, I’d recommend not mixing scents. If you are looking for that extra hold on windy days, this is not the beach wave spray for you. I would recommend a combination of styling powder with actual sea salt spray to finish/set — just don’t over use.

Of all the "beach hair" texture sprays I've tried, I like this one the best. It works, it has a subtle fresh scent, no salt, and it doesn't leave my hair feeling dirty or sticky. I ordered the travel size first because i wanted to make sure I liked it and now when I reorder I'll get the larger size. I'm new to Ouai products. Their leave-in conditioner is top tier as well.

Funktioniert sehr gut. Ich habe eine salzfreie Alternative zu Sea Salt Spray gesucht und bin hiermit fündig geworden. Der Duft ist sehr typisch feminin. Mir ist das als Mann persönlich ziemlich egal, jedoch sollte man das im Hinterkopf behalten, falls einen das stört. Der Duft verfliegt sowieso relativ schnell.

This is one of the nicest things I've purchased ever! It smells beautiful and gets lots of compliments, it's lightweight so hair stays nice and soft with good frizz control. Quality is great overall. It not super effective in terms of creating waves in my hair but I think thats down to my hair rather than the product!
