It is a solid 4.5 stars, but I guess I can round this one up to 5 stars
TL;DR: The majority of people who buy this will most likely be delighted with both the food it cooks and the oven itself, but the following appears to be an issue with this and every brand air fryer out there: it has something nasty from the manufacture on all sides of the heating element. For this reason, IMHO the heating element needs to be thoroughly cleaned with paper towels, including between the top of the element and the fan area (I can only imagine that nasty stuff dripping into food during a cook that uses any of the steam functions. That part of the initial clean is why I knocked it down to 4.5 stars.) - Would be nice if inside it were wider and maybe a hair taller to feed a family of 7 otherwise you have to cook in batches and use the keep warm setting of your built-in oven. - It's quiet. - It cooks food fast - It's easy to use, but the recipe book and presets chart can be tricky to understand the first few uses. For example, add and remove have to do with allowing it to preheat with the food out of oven between stages. Although, the recipe and presets chart have many tasty options, IMHO they are best used for getting used to the oven and combination cooking. Otherwise recipes online, etc. that are made for combi steam ovens, air friers, etc. should work fine. - The price was a bit steep considering its size could have been a little wider inside, but the materials and build quality is pretty high such as stainless steel instead of plastic. If this thing breaks down after the warranty is up, I hope it is repairable. There is nothing "yet" close in price that does what this does on the market. The APO is a bit wider, but apparently the APO has a lot of issues and cost double or more the price of this Nuwave. - As of this review there are no accessories such as additional air fry baskets, bake pans, deeper air fry baskets, or deeper bake pans to purchase on Amazon that are made by Nuwave . That is also why it gets 4.5 stars. - I think the only thing missing is a built-in temp probe for certain foods where it can control the temp based upon internal meat temperature. Well and the fact that it only gives presets for New York Steak instead of other cuts of steak.

Great for a wide variety of things
Got this last Christmas for my wife and she makes all kinds of things in here from baked or fried chicken, steamed fish or veggies, quasi-grilled Persian koobideh. It's great for reheating anything because you can decide how wet or dry it needs to be with the combination settings. Very cool device. I suspect that using it to make toast is not energy efficient, but even that turns out really well.

Two Weeks In: This Steam Oven Ruined My Old Toaster Oven Forever
I’ve been using the NuWave Bravo XL Steam Oven daily for about two weeks now and I’m honestly thrilled with it. This thing has completely replaced my old toaster oven and is giving my separate air fryer a serious run for its money. Toast performance is outstanding – finally have perfectly golden, crispy toast without any dryness. The real win for me was reheating/toasting a marzipan stollen that my previous toaster oven always turned into a brick. With a quick shot of steam in the Bravo, it came out soft inside with a delicately crisp exterior. Game changer during the holidays. Pure air-fry mode works great (wings, fries, veggies all come out excellent), but the steam and steam-injection features are where this oven truly shines. Reheating leftovers, roasting vegetables, baking salmon, proofing dough – everything stays incredibly moist and flavorful. Being able to manually add steam mid-cook is something I didn’t know I needed until now. I picked this up on the Black Friday sale, so the price-to-performance ratio felt like a steal. At full retail it would still be worth it in my book, but the discount made it an easy decision. One downside that cost it a star in my rating: despite NuWave being an American company, this unit is manufactured in China. I actively try to avoid China-made appliances when possible, so that was disappointing and the only reason I’m not giving it a full 5 stars. Overall, if you’re on the fence, pull the trigger (especially if you can catch it on sale). The steam functionality alone makes this one of the most useful countertop appliances I’ve ever owned. Highly recommended.

Excellent product!
So far this oven gets five stars. I love it! The shipping not so much. I purchased it as resale, like new, and it's marked mint condition on the invoice. I imagine it was before they packed it without the corner protectors and the plastic on the upper right corner got cracked. I hate that it's not perfect and I can't see how it can be fixed, but since it works I'm not sending it back. Nuwave gets five stars for customer support, too. :) 7/18/26 I've been using it two or three times a day since it arrived. Still hate the damage to the upper right corner, but it's working great for me. We don't eat meat so a lot of the presets are useless, but I've used it for omelets, burritos, and several times a week for baking yeast dough hamburger-size buns, from rising in the pans through finished baking, all with a custom preset. The results are excellent. The only thing I would change is the squeak it makes for an alert. Wish there were a volume control. Still five stars, though.

Starting to lose it’s functionality
Just a year in and it is stopping halfway through the preset cycles. At this point, I’m using it as a giant toaster and air fryer. The SousVide and Steam functions are not reliable anymore. I only use Distilled Water and clean it regularly. Was great in the beginning, used it as my oven for all but baking bread. Lot of money to spend for something that is not holding up to daily use.

Loving this!
I am really appreciating the multifunctional options of this combisteam oven. Airfrying is just a convection oven, so for those who are looking for baking options, you only need to adjust the time and temperature for convection oven settings. The steaming aspect of this oven allows for everything to come out incredibly moist, so your toast (use presets) and frozen pizzas (use stage function to have a 3-5 min steam, then air fry 7-10 min) end up feeling like they were freshly made for you. Steaming vegetables are a breeze and it has cooked a perfect medium-rare steak for me. I haven’t used the sous vide function, but look forward to exploring this soon. It is slightly more complex to operate than a standalone toaster oven or air fryer, but it’s very easy to use once you get the hang of it, and the learning process didn’t take very long. I’m a fan, and really recommend this. It is expensive and I would not have purchased it at full price, but if you can purchase it on sale, i believe it to be a worthy investment.

I am STEAMING mad!
I bought this 4 months ago and up to yesterday it was a 5 star item... I evejn came uo with a work around for no bake....juSt turn over item 1/2 thru. I used this oven 95% time for sous vide or steam cooking. WHY 1 STAR change? .... I start steam cook and cooking stopped a few minutes later saying it needs water. Tank is full... pull out then firmly shove back in. It cooks for a few minutes more and it stops asking for water. Tried to contact company no reply... they do not even show this oven on their web page. SOOOOO SAD....

Best upgrade . Former ninja speedy user
We were Ninja speedi user for a while and we switched to this, it’s heaven sent. Steam infusion is great, close to speedi’s. What I really love this is that it’s easier to clean than speedy because I felt miserable cleaning the speedy than this one.
