One minor annoyance, and one major flaw. Otherwise perfect.
I’ve had this for a few months now and I absolutely love this cooktop!Nice long pigtail leads made installation a snap. The one minor annoyance is that the printing is upside-down for me. I want the knobs at the top of the cooktop instead of at the bottom, where my hands and the pan handles spend a lot of time. When placed at the top the knobs are out of the way and a far reach for curious children. It’s just better that way. If the printing was along one side it could be mounted either way and still make sense. The one major flaw is that the KNOBS CANNOT BE REMOVED!!!You can tell an engineer designed it without consulting with anyone who uses or cleans a cooktop regularly. The knobs need to be removed for proper cleaning. It can still be cleaned — there’s adequate space between the bottom of the knob and the surface to squeeze a rag under it, but this is tedious and shouldn’t be necessary. If they fix these two issues, I’d say this cooktop is 100% perfect.I love that it goes “up to 11” (for any Spinal Tap fans). They say it’s twelve, but that's if you count the “off” setting. The low settings are great for keeping things warm, and the high settings are great for searing. Everything in between is pretty much equally spaced so you always have a perfect setting for whatever you’re cooking. I wish I had another kitchen so I could buy another one of these. Maybe I’ll give one as a gift to my kids. It’s a great replacement for those nasty polluting gas stoves.

Induction stove is the best on the market.
I love this cooktop. I love to use an induction stovetop. Low heat is best and doesn't use much electricity. I have been cooking with one since 2012, and it is the only way to cook. The quality of this one is great, and it is only 2800 watts. I was afraid it would not meet the standard, but I cannot tell the difference between this one and the 3700-watt one. In fact, this one gets hotter faster, so I have to start the temperature at 3/4 power. This one also has knobs which I like better than the touch control one. Boil water for 90 seconds. Great product.

Great price, knobs are superior to touch controls, wish it had a little more power
Had a pricey Frigidaire induction cooktop - not sure how (the kids won't talk) but it cracked in half. Didn't want to spend the same amount and also wanted something with knobs instead of touch controls.Sidebar: Touch controls are very, very annoying on these stoves. Every time a pot boils over, every time the cooktop gets wet at all, they stop functioning and the entire thing shuts down. Including the timer. So the entire cooking process is disrupted while you wipe everything down and dry it off. It's ridiculous. This model does not have that problem.I was *elated* when I saw this model. I've purchased other Vevor products and been happy with them. I was a little concerned about the power - total power is nearly 2000 watts lower. But part of the issue with my old one is that it was so powerful it would easily boil over pots that had nothing but water in them. I loved that that model heated things up so fast, but that power was a double-edged sword.I installed this Vevor model and I've been using it for several months. You can definitely tell that it is less powerful. But it's about on par with every electric coil, electric glasstop or gas stove I've used. It doesn't boil things so vigorously that the water flies right out of the pot. I'm okay with the tradeoff.Plus - it has knobs instead of touch controls. So I've had zero issues with the cooktop shutting down because of a spill and messing up the entire cooking process. The only downside to the knobs is that it is trickier to clean. The fact that our old unit was completely smooth glass and I could just wipe it down and be done was very, very nice. This one - I have to be a little more persnickety around the knobs. But it's a perfectly acceptable tradeoff. All induction stovetops can cause buzzing noises in the pots. This one is no different - it's no better or worse than the old one. Usually the more pots you have, the higher the chance of annoying buzzing noises. But considering all the benefits of induction cooktops - this is a totally acceptable tradeoff.Installation was easy - the only issue was that I have quartz countertops and this unit's chassis shield was ever so slightly larger. Instead of trying to grind the quartz top, I firmly tapped the edges of the shielding on the chassis (with a small hammer ) to push it in slightly and it dropped right into the existing hole.We have aluminum wiring for the heavier wire connections in our house - if you have this too, make sure you use anti-oxidation paste (and shake it good before applying!) before twisting the wires together and screwing on wirenuts. Noalox works well.If it was more powerful I'd give it 5 stars. Wish I could give it 4.5. But the price is so right.

Hard to read knob settings, inconsistent heating, not good sized burners
I have used inductive cooktops for a long time and absolutely love them. They heat up quickly like gas, but don't overheat the kitchen and they are very easy to clean. I was disappointed in this one. Here are my thoughts:What I like: That it has knobs instead of touch panel. My other one is a touch panel and it can turn off on its' own. What I don't like:* The numbers are hard to read on the knobs. It is not easy to tell where "1" is and where "10" is. You can quickly figure it out, but it would be much easier if it were larger.* The power is not consistent. It goes "on" to heat up then goes "off" when it gets there. It vacillates back and forth. My other one has a steady power, but is but at a lower level when on a lower number. My other one is more like a gas stove, that can be controlled better. This one is more like a old school cook top that heats up a lot, then turns off. This makes it much harder to cook on without burning the food.* The cook areas are either small (4 of these) or large (only one of these). Most pots are in between these two sizes. My other cooktop has 4 different sizes so it is easier to pick the right size burner for the right pot.Overall, it is an inductive cooktop with knobs, which I like. I had a very hard time finding any other options in a 36" cooktop. I almost bought another one, but it was delayed in shipping. If I had to do it again, I would have waited to get the other one in.

Good
Just bought this and had it installed a few days ago. I've noticed that my pots will work but not my pans. I did test them to see if they were magnetic and they are because at first I didn't know. Never had a conduction cooktop before. I agree that the heating is not consistent. A specific pot that I had used for 2 days in a row heated fine and I'm using the same one and it's either not working or it is heating up quickly or it takes forever or it works when it wants to. I want to love this so badly because it was affordable and I love the look of it. But I'm debating on returning it. I'll give this another try. I may have to buy new pots and pans to make sure but I really dont want to do that. I'll change my review later and see how it goes.Update:I did have to buy a new pan and pot to make sure what was going on because the pot I had was not working anymore and the pan I had im assuming it was bent a weird way or just not making a good connection with the cooktop. Anyhow it did work. Not sure what happened with the ones that I had but it was not working and I gave up using mine. The only downside is the numbers for the knobs are too small. Only saying that because my daughter can't read the tiny numbers when I ask her to turn it on to a specific setting. But it's good it does the job. Been cooking on it and haven't had any issues as of yet other than what I originally posted, but that's all good now and taken care of.

I love this stovetop!
Giving it five start for looks and function. I have installed this in a cargo trailer conversion camper I am the process of building out, but prior to installing it , I tested it on my countertop in the house. It boiled a quart of water in 3.5 minutes. Fried eggs perfectly and the power consumption is very efficient for what it does. It has 9 power settings that allow you to use only what you need to cook effectively. I like the fact there will be virtually no radiant heat introduced while cooking in the camper.Jury out on reliabilty. I have not used it extensively. I will be this summer for a few month while on the road. I'll let you know.

Vevor, Dishonest and Disreputable Company. Let the buyer beware!
Vevor seems to be a dishonest and disreputable company. Ordered one induction stovetop that arrived cracked on top ceramic/glass surface. They hassled me about this and kept asking for a couple more days while they "investigate" it. At one point they told me to just try to use it to see if the cracked top surface impaired it's function. This is a 240 volt high amperage stovetop. What they recommended is completely unsafe. Ordered a second one, but it mysteriously disappeared from tracking info as soon as it was shipped. I would avoid buying anything from Vevor.
