Finally a no-sugar syrup with no artificial sweeteners!
Finding no-sugar flavor syrups that don't have artificial sweeteners is really hard! Can't say how many times I've had to throw out products because I didn't read the ingredients well enough. I'm keto so avoid sugar at all cost and super sensitive to artificial sweeteners, but I'm also a coffee snob and really like my coffees. I had pretty much written off having a flavored latte again until I found this. I love Lakanto and use their monk fruit sweeteners and baking mixes so when I saw this I ordered it immediately! It doesn't disappoint! Good flavor, no horrible aftertaste, and works beautifully in my Jura sweetfoam attachment. I've made flavored lattes for my non-keto family and friends and they have no idea it was sugar free.

Great sugar-free option without the aftertaste.
A great way to add a natural sugar free flavor to my coffee. Doesn't have the same sugar free after taste like other options.

Medicinal/ Herbal aftertaste
I tend to like all sugar free/ keto syrups however this one I could not get passed the weird taste. The aftertaste for the gingerbread flavor is almost medicinal, herbal, minty. I had to throw out my espresso as I could not drink it. Would not recommend the gingerbread flavor.

Odd Taste / Aftertaste
This has an odd taste. When used very sparingly to flavor hot chocolate or coffee a little it’s ok. When used stronger, such as to make a peppermint mocha, there is an odd taste or aftertaste to it and not a pleasant one. It won’t work for good coffee drinks. I’ll use it for hot chocolate though, since it requires less to flavor it.

Best Syrup Ever
Absolutely the best! I highly recommend and I just ordered my second bottle. The flavor is spot on! Not that phony sweetness aftertaste. Get yourself a bottle! PS I just received my second bottle of this AMAZING syrup!!

Not for Everyone, but geared for people wanting to eat/drink more clean
I think most people will be subjective with reviews regarding a product like this. For example, I tend to eat less sweet than the average person. Perhaps I overloaded myself with sugar as a child and I've realized foods get sweeter and sweeter as time goes on, especially in the US. The last few years, I've also been eating and drinking more clean, laying off processed sugar, corn syrup... and all that jazz, so I came to this product. I use to own a cafe, and anyone running a cafe knows it's just easier to buy a case of Torani (insert flavors) syrup and call it a day. I've been using Torani ever since I decided to make the switch with syrup for my coffee and other drinks. So, using a 750ml bottle pump, each pump being about 1oz, or 2 tablespoons. I typically use 1 pump of Torani vanilla in my cappuccino. Subjectively, that's sweet enough for me without being super sweet. For reference, I also make kefir "smoothies", and I also take 1 pump of Torani. My teenage kid also enjoys the kefir smoothies but she likes it with 2 pumps. My bottle of Lakanto vanilla syrup arrived today and I had to try it. I added one pump of Lakanto in my cappuccino and it was strange. If you do your research on Allulose, you'll find out that allulose is less sweet than sugar. Long story short, I added another half pump into my cappuccino and the sweetness was balanced out. For reference, I make 8oz cappuccino, 10oz including foam. 10oz being a 10oz insulated cup. As far as the flavor or the smell... by itself, the vanilla scent is much more potent than Torani. I use Torani as a standard, since it is common and that's what I'm most familiar with. With 50% more syrup and much more scent , the vanilla is much more... Vanilla. This really throws off the balance, that I like. Having to use 50% more, that also makes Lakanto consumption 50% more, which makes it 50% more expensive. It also comes in a plastic bottle (which cuts cost for the manufacturer) makes it more expensive for the consumer, since it costs roughly the same as a Torani bottle. - So, is it GOOD... subjectively... sure it's pretty good. I'm looking for a cleaner alternative to sugar, corn syrup and any of the other ultra-processed food-goods. From this perspective, YES. - Does it throw off your "Normal" flavor balance... YES, but i suppose you would adapt. I just watched a video on "food sweetness" between the US and Japan (probably applies to other countries as well), and the Japanese feel like they are always eating dessert when eating American food, and American's feel Japanese food aren't sweet enough. So, we as Americans probably should practice eating less sweet and enjoy FLAVOR rather than SWEETNESS in our foods. - Is it more expensive? Yes, if you want to maintain your normal level of sweetness, it's 50% more expensive. - How about people who are concerned about plastics? Probably not for you, but then most things won't be for you since everything involves plastics these days. However, I would rather have my goods, like syrups in glass bottles myself. I've reused the glass bottles for other syrups, like Monk Fruit Simple syrup or I've made drinking cups and glasses from old Torani bottles. It's more difficult to reuse plastic bottles. - How does it taste? It does have a strong vanilla smell. I like vanilla, but when vanilla is too strong, it makes it seem like medicine or "fake". This syrup is a bit on the strong side for me, plus having to use 50% more, makes it smell even more... mediciney. - Also regarding the pump - with this syrup, I have to gauge an extra half pump. It's just easier to add a full pump, or two full pumps. An extra half pump makes things more difficult (for consistency). Overall, I do recommend this product because I like to promote cleaner living, but this product is not perfect.
