I needed a hydrating “reset” shampoo that brings softness back without fragrance. How I use it: Dandruff shampoo: 4 days/week This shampoo + matching conditioner: 2 days/week Purple/brightening shampoo: 1 day/week This is the moisture step that counters what the other shampoos can strip. Likes: Dry scalp hydration: Yes, it helps my scalp feel more comfortable and less dry. (Not a medicated dandruff/itch treatment.) Creamy + easy rinse: Very creamy, lathers well with real suds, and rinses easily, even in thick curls. Curls look fresh: My curls look bouncy and clean, not weighed down. Truly fragrance-free: Zero scent. Not “lightly scented,” just no fragrance. No buildup: Rinses clean with no buildup, but also doesn’t leave hair feeling stripped or squeaky. Notes: This isn’t a replacement for dandruff shampoos like Head & Shoulders or Selsun Blue. It’s a hydrating shampoo, not a medicated one. Not silicone-free: it contains amodimethicone. Love CeraVe shampoo and conditioner. I have a sensitivity to certain fragrances and some of the ingredients in salon products. This doesn’t weigh my hair down, cleans it well and is really nice to use! So happy I don’t have any reactions to this product!

This conditioner is perfect if you want hydration without heavy fragrance. It’s completely scent-free, feels lightweight, and leaves my hair softer without any greasy residue. I like that it uses ceramides and doesn’t overload my scalp, just smooth, healthy feeling hair. If you hate strong scents or have sensitive skin, this is an easy one to get. It works well and is easy to use.

Ever since I found out I’m allergic to fragrances, I’ve been on a mission to find truly fragrance-free shampoo and conditioner. Honestly, this one has been my favorite so far! The shampoo is super hydrating and not harsh at all. And the conditioner? It honestly feels like a deep treatment, my hair melted instantly. After blow-drying, my hair felt light, soft, and really smooth to the touch. This is definitely becoming my go-to, and I’ll be repurchasing for sure. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone who has fragrance allergies or sensitivities like me.

I'm delighted with the CeraVe gentle hydrating conditioner and the gentle hydrating shampoo. I have flare ups of an autoimmune type issue under and on my scalp and I have to scale back to very gentle products. This is by far the best shampoo and conditioner that I have found for this purpose. I had a shampoo and conditioner on hand for this purpose but I hated using them because my hair looked so flat and dull after using them, although they were effective with dealing with the flare-ups. The CeraVe products have helped with the flare-up and my hair looks great. I have medium fine hair with a bit of wave (2b). I find that so many shampoos and conditioners gradually dry out my hair no matter what promises they make. This is the first shampoo and conditioner I've used in a long time that gives back to my hair and makes it more manageable.

Having allergies makes finding hair products challenging. Cerave comes through for me again with an unscented conditioner that works on my thin, very fine textured, grey hair. It leaves my hair well hydrated, and soft. FYI : I tried the regular Vanicream hair conditioner and it stripped my hair, drying it out to the point it felt brittle, this is the exact opposite. Love this. I was skeptical at first but after reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot. I was using Olaplex. Their conditioner is good but too expensive. I needed something for my color treated bleached ends, with no scent. My allergies have flared and im extremely sensitive to the slightest scent. My hair is so soft now. I normally just do the ends but the other day I felt my roots needed some attention. I was worried Id end up a greaseball (why I dont do it on my roots) and not only wasnt it but I went 2 days without washing to see how greasy I'd get and I didn't! Also sometimes my fine hair gets very tangled after a shower and is hard to comb through. Not anymore! Also this stuff is so cheap and a little goes a long way. I'll never go back to the expensive stuff again.
