We started using this with our 6-month-old during tummy time and sitting practice, and it’s been one of those toys that grows with him. Right now, he mostly enjoys grabbing the blocks, banging them together, and trying to get them into his mouth. The pieces are big enough to be safe but small enough for him to practice his grip and hand coordination. What I didn’t expect is how useful the bucket itself is. He loves taking the shapes out, watching me put them back in, and listening to the sound they make when they drop inside. It’s a great cause-and-effect toy at this age, even before he can actually sort the shapes. I like that this isn’t overstimulating — no lights, no loud sounds — just bright colors and simple shapes that let him focus. I can see this becoming even more useful as he gets older and starts learning how to match the shapes to the holes. Good for: • Tummy time and sitting play • Practicing grip and hand coordination • Learning cause and effect • Early shape and color recognition • A toy that grows with baby into toddler stage Not ideal for: If you’re looking for something flashy with music and lights. This is more of a classic developmental toy. This feels like one of those timeless baby toys that every house with a baby should have.

Great for any infant around 6m+ helps with fine motor skills like grasping. Quality and durability are great. My daughter has had for several months and she throws these pieces everywhere. Lid is a little loose and wish it would lock down instead of just sitting on top. No assembly required. Not sure the toys actually stack like seen in the picture as they are 5 different shapes and flat edges. Im sure you could if you wanted just wouldn't be sturdy.

This is fantastic. Kiddo loves to play with it. The size of each block is perfect for little hands, and the set really helps improve motor skills and hand‑eye coordination. This is a great quality Fisher-Price toy. It is great fun for 6 month old babies and toddlers! It is a simple and colorful shape designs that are easily put in the lid. There are a variety of shapes making it a great toy for visual learning and functionality. The shapes fit easily in a childs hand and very safe for play. Lots of learning can happen with this toy!

The Fisher-Price Baby’s First Blocks set is an absolute staple in our playroom. It is perfect for building fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as little ones grasp, dump, and sort the ten colorful shapes. It’s a fantastic, safe introduction to learning shapes and colors, and the chunky design is great for small hands. The only drawback is that the pieces get scattered everywhere (a hazard for parents stepping on them!), and the lid does not stay on securely. If the bucket tips over, the lid pops off, leading to lost blocks. Despite this, the engagement level is high, and it grows with your child’s skills. A reliable, affordable toy, just prepare to hunt for shapes under the sofa!

Bought this months ago but still keeps my 15 month old grandson interested and occupied. He plays with it all the time. Loves sorting the pieces and is so pleased with himself when he puts the correct shape in the correct hole. Nothing to break, no batteries needed. Just simple old fashioned fun that manages to teach about shapes.

An original baby toy we forgotten about and spotted again while watching Ms.Rachel. I love that she uses it so my toddler can engage with it instead of just watching his show and not having an interactive component during screen time as I’m cooking. Less mom guilt if I’m being honest. Helps with sorting, pincer grip, stacking, on/off, learning colours/shapes, it does everything in one small package that’s easy to clean up and tuck away. Best baby toy out there, we play with it everyday!

A good toy for young children aged 1 to 2 years. If your child is older, they will get bored quickly. I can say that the quality is good—there’s nothing to complain about. The plastic is well-finished with no rough edges. My little one played with it for a long time and learned the basic shapes. Overall, I can say that this toy served its purpose, and I recommend it.
