Considering this was my 3rd iPad case, I was sceptical, especially for the price point. I must say I am pleasantly surprised and my iPad lives in here a lot more than initially expected. The sun hood is good too. I use this as an external monitor or camera monitor a lot and it helps my workload loads

Not a bad bit of kit really, quality is robust and has all the mount features for tripod etc, easy to set up and put iPad into and light shade helps when outside

I’ve had my eye on this SmallRig iPad cage for a long time & was excited when I finally bought it - that excitement didn’t last long upon receiving it, sadly. The build quality itself is fine, but the iPad Pro 13” (the biggest iPad available) is loose, sliding side to side & tilting forward constantly. That itself is annoying but it also can cause damage to the iPad over time. The mounting points are my main gripe - if you want to use a 1/4” tripod screw mount to attach the cage centrally to the bottom you have to use a 3/8” to 1/4” screw adapter which is fine… but the official Smallrig ones don’t even fit in there properly, they stick out - you can’t screw it all the way into the hole. The hole on the top works fine for this but then you have to use the cage upside down & I don’t have full trust in doing that with how loose the iPad is within the cage. I don’t understand why the lesser common 3/8” screw hole is centralised instead of the very common/popular 1/4”. A reoccurring theme of Smallrig products is that they are either very good & work fantastic - or they are very poorly designed/built quality is poor. Item returned.

Z ogromnym żalem zwróciłem te klatkę, bo w jednym wymiarze była zbyt mała do mojego tabletu. Tablet z ekranem 18 cali (czyli z obudową wymiar większy). Nie zmienia to jednak faktu, że klatka jest świetnie zaprojektowana i świetnie wykonana. W komplecie znajduje się bardzo ważny element - osłona przeciwsłoneczna. Jeśli chcesz zwiększyć sposoby wykorzystania technicznych możliwości swojego tabletu, ta klatka jest dla Ciebie!

Well considered design & build quality! Fit for purpose..

Couldn't get the sun shade to stay in place, kept falling off. Need to also make it attachable in both portrait and landscape.

Excelente, es una pieza solida para usar con el ipad, agregue algunos aditamentos y es un monitor perfecto. Caro pero funcional
