Oh man, these Ziploc bags are like the Swiss Army knife of snack storage—minus the corkscrew (but who needs wine at lunch anyway?). These kinda suck
I do not love these baggies. They are too thin and don't hold up well at all. I steam veggies with these type of baggies in the microwave. Yes, I know that is not the intended use . I have been doing this for years. These baggies do not hold up at all. The tops open up every time and deform along with the body I put two to three fork prong holes and microwave for 3 &1/2 minutes. It's not always perfect but these consistently fail. I actually got a steam liquid burn on my hand about a week ago. Yes, that is my fault I'm not blaming the baggie. A better constructed product though should have help prevent this issue. Steamimg works just fine with generic and normally with the Ziploc brand. Honestly, I don't like to use the Ziploc brand because of the price point. It feels like I'm wasting $$$. Ziplocs normally are more durable and preferable This type are so thin and the construction I feel is poor. It's a great price for the Ziploc brand but, the quality is definitely not there. I would recommend using it for a sandwich or some chips. The actual intended use yes But you know we use Ziploc baggies for a million different things
