Are these sun-dried apricots?

Not sure how they were dried, but they tend to be too dry. I prefer Newman's own organic or Simple Truth organic for more moist and sweet apricots.

Much too sweet, ?not the familiar slightly tart apricot expected. Blah.

Are they California apricots or Mediterranean apricots? There is a big difference in the taste. California apricots are tart while Mediterranean ones are sweet

I have gotten the 3 lb bags of "apricots in the buff" and found them typically delicious. The packaging on these is different-- are they the same?
