Arrived Early!
I used to have a wooden brush in high school and it did wonders for me. I have searched for another one for years now because they are so hard to find in stores. When my plastic brush broke a few weeks ago, it was the perfect excuse to save my monies and buy this, which had been on my private list for about a year. I love the price! My brush arrived two days early, and it is so well made. Has screws in it instead of just the glue like another person mentioned. I was scared it would take forever to come or be broken when I got it due to the negative reviews but I am thinking that has to do with their USPS service. Because mine was in perfect condition. It looks as though it will probably last for years. If any pins break I will simply remove them or file them down. It's not rocket science. I have very full, thick, slightly coarse hair due to my Cherokee and Latina genes, but I am also about 60 percent Caucasian. My hair is difficult and damaged due to years of coloring. I do not use heat or alot of products on my hair but I did just stop coloring and bleaching about two years back. My hair is prone to getting real tangled throughout the day and frizzy with plastic brushes. My hair has split ends and alot comes out in plastic brushes as well. I use semi gentle shampoo and conditioner, a silicone silk product and a few home remedy treatments such as ACV and coconut oil or the occasional mask. I don't really style my hair, just usually brush and comb or go. I have an aresnal of scrunchies, and a bun maker I use and I braid it or put it up most of the time to keep it out of my way since it's long and thick. The brush is well made, strong, cuts down on frizz, less damaging, distributes oil (natural or my coconut oil), tames flyaways, detangles and keeps tangles away , massages the scalp for relaxation and stimulation of growth, cuts down or eliminates dandruff, can be used on wet hair, and will restore shine, health, and silkiness after regular use. I know because I remember what this kind of brush did for me all those years ago. I am so blessed to have found this brush for this price and so well made. I will continue to purchase these products. I wasn't compensated in anyway for this review. Another reviewer states this brush isn't life changing, but I beg to differ!

I'm picky AF, and THIS is my favorite brush!
This is one of the first reviews I've ever felt compelled to write. First off, let me say, my only vanity is my hair, and I'm picky about my products. I bought a Dyson hairdryer as soon as they came out, CHI flatirons put all others to shame, and I own not one, but two, hard to find "wood pin+boar bristle" brushes made from aged olive tree wood. They cost so much that my husband jokingly says they must be made of unicorn poop. You might think that those would be my favorite brushes. You'd be wrong. THIS is my favorite brush. I bought this brush in April of 2016, so, over four years ago. I have waist length, thick, straight, course hair. I've used this brush daily on myself, as well as my two daughters (who also have crap tons of thick, course hair). It's accompanied us on several vacations, and has been tossed into many a day-to-day tote bag. It continues to be amazing! Have some of the bristles broken off? Yeah, absolutely. However, when a brush is dropped, tossed in a drawer repeatedly, packed in a suitcase, carried in a tote, etc. for years, that is to be expected. It's bamboo for goodness sake, not iron. All the people saying "it was great, but then some bristles broke, poor quality!". Seriously? You toss it in a drawer, or your purse, everyday, for months, and then you're surprised when some outside edge bristles break? Silly. I can tell you that even after four plus years of heavy use/abuse this brush is still the one I reach for every day. I just checked, I have twelve broken bristles and seven missing bristles, and my brush still works as beautifully as the day it was delivered. I will use this brush until the handle breaks, or all the bristles break, whichever comes first. Believe me, if you want a brush made of natural materials that can stand up to some heavy use and keep on keepin on, buy this brush. You won't regret it. Just keep in mind, if you treat thin pins of WOOD roughly, they will break, but it will still work perfectly!

OP: Only issue is integrity of quality. (Updated) Nevermind I love this brush!
The brush arrived quickly and as described. My only real issue with it, is that a few of the pegs/bristles are at very odd angles making detangling less smooth, Otherwise the brush feels really nice on the scalp and eases through the hair (im a type 1c/2a ii hair at bottom length). . I would purchase again assuming I maybe just got a bad brush. If I buy another and the bristles have the same issue though, my rating will drop dramatically. Edited to add: After a few months of use the bristles being at weird angles doesn't seem to be an issue at all! Changed rating to 5 stars! I would buy this brush again. It is so smooth when detangling and ive noticed less hair loss when brushing since making the switch to this brush. Update: I bought this brush in April 2020 and it is now November 2020. My comment about odd angled bristles seems to have never been an issue at all. In fact, I have been using this brush so much I don't even see any bristles out of place. I never switched back to my old brush (which was a wet brush). My hair has had far less damage, and I have even started seeing new growth. 10/10 would recommend this brush.

4 year update
Update: It has been 4 years. My kids have used this as a prop, it has brushed my hair daily, been dropped from every height, thrown off the washer during a spin, and soaked in soapy water during playtime. It has a single split which I plan on gluing, and it has lost 3 tines (from dropping,) with 7 of the edge tines being broken off at the base. This does not affect its usage and you can buy replacement tines, which I plan on doing if any more break. This hairbrush is an actual beast of a wooden brush and I expect it to last my lifetime with general upkeep of it. I wash it regularly and give the wood an oil to keep it happy. It would probably look nicer if it hasn't seen so much bathtime usage. Probably not the brush for you if you keep yours in the shower. It's still pretty sitting on the shelf, brushes my hair without pulling, and I'm still in love with it. This would make the best gift. One year update: I have had this brush for about a year (possibly a bit longer.) It really is Bamboo (the tines are wood, so is the body.) Because the stripes are stained, and not a different kind of wood glued together, expect fading over time in high use areas. I add some oil rich lotion to my brush every month to keep it from drying out. Original: Our washer and dryer are in our bathroom, and I am forever placing this brush on the washer and forgetting I put it there. It has tumbled SO many times, and not been damaged. It holds up...it's built like a tank. The tines also keep from tangling in your hair. I love this brush compared to the plastic pin brushes I used to use. Highly recommend! 👍

Love at first brush!
Seriously, I have not had a brush THIS good, ever. It gives a smooth stroke and no static. There is no plastic pieces, allowing it to be gentle on my hair. I have long THICK hair and since I have been using this brush, I have minimal breakage and the proof is in the pad - no hair is pulled out and left on the padding. I noticed more shine to my hair as well. I will never own another brush, ever! I highly recommend this to anyone. I want to get the dog brush as well since I have a long hair German Shepherd!

The BEST Brush for African American and Curly Hair!!!
This brush is so well made it even has four metal screws to join the bristle pad to the bamboo wood. Besides being beautiful the brush is a "Green" composition of bamboo instead of wood or plastic. Because bamboo can handle being wet without damage you can use it in or out of the shower or with a blowdryer! The tines massage your scalp so wonderfully that I find myself wanting to brush my hair over and over at night (and sometimes during the day!) My sister had purchased brush by Kent, which is significantly more expensive, but this lovely perfectly made brush is great not just in name it is also in composition. I use my own mix of pure Argan oil and Lavender oil to have a nice smelling conditioner for my hair and it has not affected the brush in any way. So if you have long hair, wavy, and or curly hair this is definitely the brush. If that isn't enough you can wash it so easily. Sometimes I just rinse it real good under hot water and it cleans the tines right up then I just l let it dry overnight (after making sure to squeeze as much out of the pneumatic pad or let it drain tine side down depending on how you cleaned it. I've seen brushes of a similar nature costing upwards of 50 or 100 something dollars (MIND BOGGLING), but if you are looking for a good brush start here with this brush especially if you need easy detangling. I still use my boar mixed bristle brush to get that glass finish when pulling my hair back in a pony tail or "up style" hairdo. Boar is better at forcing stray hairs to lay down, but not good for detangling. I will definitely be sticking with Bass Brushes in the future, no more plastic/nylon brushes, bristles or handles for me.

Well-Made
I looked at a bunch of different wooden brushes before settling on this one and from what I've read bamboo brushes sound really nice. And this one is! I've only had it for about a week but it's held up to my hair just fine, as it's thick and wavy but not quite prone to getting tangled. The bristles haven't broken and seem pretty strong and overall the brush feels sturdy and well-made. The size is perfect for my long hair and the bristles give a nice scalp massage. I'm still careful about brushing my hair with it though, but with proper care this brush should last for several years.

The best hairbrush!
This is by far the best hairbrush I've ever owned! My hair tends to rip off hairbrush bristles, but that's not a problem with this brush. After 6 years, I've only lost one bristle. The shape of the bristles is also very nice. It handles tangles perfectly and is so sturdy! It's not too heavy either. I also love how this feels on my scalp. It's nice to hold. It's easy to pull the hair that comes off from the brush. I did buy a replacement after 6 years. I could've kept using the old one as it was still plenty functional. It was just a treat to myself :) I'd highly recommend this hairbrush! It's worth every cent!

Love this brush
Love this brush. Few strokes and my hair has been detangled and my scalp - receives a gentle rub, High quality, sturdy and you can tell that is truly natural. I think I brush my hair a bit more now! ;) I do think this will last me a while and for the price, it has to last a couple of years. I'd think it's a good gift too....
