The tip should be included. It usually comes in a plastic bag, did you check the case for the accessory bag? Be sure to look in all crevices.

Can you use this on a 6 volt system if you’re running it off a 6v battery?

The volt meter does pick up the voltage on mine under 12V. But the power probe won't work.

When you apply power, does it apply 12V or 5V reference? Or is there a way to choose the voltage applied?

This is a 12V DC (ie. 12V battery) if you have it hooked up to a 12V DC power source that is that will be your applied voltage. Please read the item description at the bottom of the ad page.
