I really love the look of these glasses, and they can hold quite a bit of bourbon. The idea behind these glasses is to allow higher proof bourbons to be nosed properly without burning your nose hairs off. Quick tip: open your mouth a little bit when you’re nosing high proof bourbon – it will help to reduce the burn! Compared to the ever popular Glencairn glasses, this one is a little harder to swirl because the mouth is so wide. Be careful, or your precious bourbon may be slipping out of the glass when you swirl it. But it is a fantastic glass with a thin lip, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that enjoys nosing and sipping on bourbon – especially the high proof ones!

Great glass!! Terriffic feel and design. Solid product. I really like the etching! Can't wait to serve drinks for guests with my new glasses!! I think my bourbon tastes better and the olfactory experience is heightened!

Must-have bar accessory for the bourbon lover (would make a fantastic gift as well)! Their uniquely wide-rimmed shape improves the experience of tasting bourbon when compared to a standard glen cairne. High quality and perfect price point.

I like the glasses. Very nice quality. However, if you are looking for a glass that truly holds 8 oz...this one isn't it. Filled to the top, the glass only holds about 7 oz. Since I bought this to share high ABV beers with my spouse, it meets our needs to a T!

Very nice whiskey glasses. For those who may want to add a cube of ice, the larger opening makes it easier than the classic Glencairn. Have had guests choose these glasses for other spirits as well.

A local cocktail bar uses these glasses (not sure if same brand, but same style) for their bourbon/whiskey drinks so I was already familiar with the style. I am 100% satisfied with these glasses. Fortunately, I did not experience any of the issues a few others have had with broken glasses or uneven glass rims. My glasses came in great condition. They are solid, good to hold, look great, and are perfect for capturing the olfactory part of the bourbon drinking experience. I am not an expert at all, but have come to appreciate the total experience of bourbon (sight, smell, taste). These glasses hold exactly 8 ounces to the rim. In my opinion, these glasses are best suited for drinking bourbon or whiskey neat, with a splash of water, or a single ice cube. They can be used for drinks such as whiskey sours as well. I think they are a bit small for drinks such as Old Fashioned or other drinks that tend to go in rocks glasses. Highly recommend!

Very nice with some heft to them that I like. I have gotten some of this borosilicate glasses, and I prefer heavier glasses

Excellent whiskey glass! They are high quality and heavier/wider at the opening (2.2” diameter at the opening) in comparison with the Glencairn glasses. They don’t touch your nose when drinking from them, and they are stackable too. They are much more satisfying to hold and you can fit an 2” ice sphere in them. Much more of a drinking glass than a sampling glass. I would recommend to any whiskey drinker. They are hands down my favourite whiskey glass. I am ordering another set of 4!

In my opinion, these glasses are better than glencairn glasses for tasting dark spirits. The wider rim and bowl still allows the nosing of the spirit but without that burst of ethanol that you get with a glencairn's narrower top. I've sampled bourbon, rye and cognac from these glasses and am impressed. Full marks also to Amazon customer service team as well, who expedited another set of glasses when my first shipment went missing. That's why I shop at Amazon for the first rate service!
