Excellent laptop stand - can be used with or without cooler and is sturdy and legit!! The cooler itself gets ice cold to the touch and lowers my temps on my gaming laptop by a few degrees, keeps it at around 87F which is a huge difference from my usual 95F - highly recommend but make sure the cooler makes contact with the bottom of the laptop.

This is my first time using a laptop cooling pad, as I’ve only used a basic stand before. The thermoelectric cooling seems to make a noticeable difference—I could feel the laptop cooling down fairly quickly compared to just using a stand. I like that the cooler can be detached when it’s not needed, so it still works well as a regular stand. It feels sturdy and stable, and I appreciate that it’s adjustable and swivels, which makes it easy to get a comfortable setup. The fans are also very quiet. Overall, it’s been a nice upgrade from a basic laptop stand.

after buying this, i saw debatable results with a rog Zephyrus g16 2024 in most all situations. video rendering, 4k gaming, running engineering sims. while the plate is cool to the touch, i did not see any noticeable difference in temperature. while the concept is novel, it may violate the laws of thermodynamics. the heat sink is expelling energy downwards, effectively taking away heat from the system but the intake fan can easily mix the 2 streams effectively adding 20 watts of heat into the system. it may not be for me, but if you do buy it, make sure to put it in an open space so it doesn't breathe in exhaust. At max fan speed I would say the noise level is negligible. I'm just going to try repurposing it for a dj touring stand. weight functionality and durability are all high end and beat out many other stands.

This is a big upgrade from my current stand. It drops temps noticeably, and the swivel base mechanism is really nice because in my setup I like to angle my laptop "to the side". I dont really know why you even need the tools included, I just plopped the cooling part in directly as is, and the weight of the laptop keeps the fans in solidly and the typing feels perfect that way. Super easy 1 minute setup. Very happy!

The cooling system works exactly as advertised. There are two settings: the 5W mode, which I tested first, lowers the temperature of the semiconductor cooler to 53°F from my room temperature of 72°F. Then there’s the 20W mode, which is even more powerful, cooling the semiconductor down to a chilly 37°F. For my laptop and even my iPhone during fast charging, this has been a game-changer for preventing overheating. I even tested it by placing my phone on the cooling pad when it got too hot, and it worked to cool it down quickly. The stand itself is solid and built to last. It feels heavy-duty and stable, making it perfect for daily use at home or in the office. However, it’s a bit bulky and not ideal for travel, but you can detach the cooling pad. If you’re someone who needs to frequently take your stand on the go, the weight might be a drawback, but I don’t mind leaving it on my desk for regular use. The design is sleek, and the cooling system includes RGB lights that add a nice touch. The fan isn’t overly loud in 5W mode, but it does make a bit of noise when set to the higher 20W setting—though nothing that would be disruptive in a typical office setting. The inclusion of a USB Type-C cable and a USB-A to Type-C adapter gives you flexibility in how to power it. In summary, this cooling stand is an excellent choice for anyone who experiences laptop overheating, especially during intensive tasks. Worked great for eleven months, until the fan bearings started to go. At that point, it made buzzing sound so loud that it became unusable. I took it apart to see if the fans were standardized and easily replaceable, but they were not. For this kind of money, I expect more durability.

This laptop cooling stand is what I wanted: fan plus active heat sink, plus adjustable platform for lap or desk. HOWEVER, when unpacked, it was nonfunctional. The cord provided was USB, with a USB C adapter tacked onto the end. This make-do setup was my first suspicion for system failure. When replaced with a standard USB C cable, it functions well, and cools quickly. I'm hoping for a long life from this tool. We'll see. (EDITED: a few days later) MetFut reached out to me with offer of full refund, and I explained that I do wish to keep this item. They then kindly offered to adjust for inconvenience of malfunctioning cable and I accepted. I am as impressed with their PRO-active follow up as I am with the performance of the cooler. The unit is active cold in contact with the hot bottom of my laptop, not simply a fan blowing hot air around. I am way happy with their product. Also, MetFut sez they are addressing the former flaw.

I just want to say that this cooler stand is one of the best I've used. It's sturdy, solid and balanced. The thermoelectric cooler has a spectacular cooling effect, especially for gaming laptops. I would say this stand is best suited for 14/15 inch laptops. I have an ASUS G14 and can clearly notice a difference in performance when using the cooler. The 5W mode is efficient for productivity task and daily work, and the 20W is better used under heavy gaming or rendering but it requires a separate cable + capable adapter. Another one up is for the vendor who sent me a brand new replacement (attached) when my cooler's right fan had developed a noticeable buzz to it. I thought they would send me a replacement part for the fan, but they sent me a whole new unit, exceeding my expectations with this product. Thank you!

For the first 6 months, the cooling fan worked great. Unfortunately, it stopped working less than one year. Vendor was able to send me replacement since still under warranty. Excellent service
