Good price for a great upgrade- useful included tools
Worked for Dell Inspiron 5540. Upgraded 56 Wh to this 97 Wh unit. About 1.5 extra hours of battery life. Although I have my own bits, the included screwdrivers were appropriate size and magnetic. Much appreciated. Will update review if battery fails unexpectedly.

So far so good
Fit exactly into my laptop and easy to install. Had about 65% life upon arrival, which is great because my laptop was completely dead before, and I needed to retrieve some very important files. So far I have only used it for a couple of hours, but to me it seems like it is lasting a reasonable amount of time so far. Not related to this battery, but I need to get my laptop fixed because the charging port is not working. So, this battery has bought me some much-needed time!

Saved a laptop from the recycle bin
Works as described. Easy to replace the battery in my Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1. I've only used it a few days, but after a full charge I ran it continuously for 2 hours and it only dropped to 93%. I will update if performance changes, but for now I'm quite happy with it.

Saved my laptop from recycle.
Purchased this for my 2017 HP laptop. It would die within 5 minutes of unplugging it from the wall which turned it into a "desktop". Thought about taking it to a shop when I saw these batteries for $25. Checked out YouTube for installation instructions and went for it. It came apart fairly easily but I did find a few hidden screws. Unplugged old battery, plugged in new one and closed it up. It had some charge but followed instructions on charging. Charged up full in a little over an hour. Now will run 3-4 hours on steady and a week on and off. Now I can move it around, sit on the couch or take it with me with no problems. For me, this was a great solution to my dilemma.

Failed in <2 months. 57% Health despite careful charging.
purchased this battery for my Dell Latitude 5501 on November 20, 2025. Less than two months later, the battery is effectively dead. Despite treating this battery carefully (limiting charge to 80% to preserve longevity and using it for standard office work), it has degraded severely: Health is already at 57%: Confirmed via both Chrome OS Diagnostics and upower in Linux. BIOS Confirmation: The Dell BIOS flags the health as merely "Good" (degraded) rather than "Excellent," which is unacceptable for a battery this new. Performance: It currently discharges at a rate of nearly 1% per minute. I practice good battery hygiene and this unit still failed in 8 weeks. Do not buy this if you expect it to last. I regret not spending the extra money for an OEM Dell replacement.
