Hardware House H10-3602 Madison Outdoor Fixture Post Light, Royal Bronze

We bought this hanging light fixture to replace our old one in our front porch. The style & color, while I don't think quite goes with our particular house, is nice enough and the significant other liked it on the site so we went with it. For a relatively inexpensive hanging light fixture, the brushed brown/bronze finish is actually quite nice, IMO. And the light brown-yellowish glass produces a nice soft glow. The size of the light is fairly small so it does not overwhelm a small porch like ours. All the parts were included, nothing missing, and it was fairly easy to install (the round ceiling plate, which is, I guess about 4.5 - 5.0 inches across, did not completely cover the existing square hole so I had to make a "patch" so no opening showed). There were no dents or any noticeable issues with the metal shell or with the glass. The light comes with a fairly long electrical wire and metal links. I removed probably half the links and extra wire to make it the hanging length I wanted. I believe the fixture takes a max 60 watt bulb. With LED lightbulbs, it is quite easy to pick up a bulb with the desired warmth (Kelvin) and brightness (lumens) that fit that constraint. All in all, I am happy with the hanging light fixture as it is the right size for the space, it looks nice even though is a bit rustic and it does the job.

Love this Fixture, so glad I bought it. It is prettier in person, solidly constructed, lovely leaf design on sturdy glass. With a 75watt bulb, it easily lights up the driveway below our 2nd story deck out a good 20ft or so. It wasn't hard to install, no problems. It does give off plenty of light. The size is actually larger than I expected after other reviews said it's small; I don't think so, it's perfect for a porch light. Very happy with this purchase! The night photos were hard to get with my phone: the light offers lots of bright white light with a high watt bulb. Looks pretty, too.

These are really nice lights, especially for the money. We put up 10 of these around our garage & back door. Althought they have been up for just a short time, we have already gotten many compliments. We bought these for the compact size, the simple but elegant design, & because they have frosted glass. We chose these over a similar fixture with clear glass because after checking out the clear glass fixture lit up with a LED bulb we discovered LED bulbs look terrible through clear glass. If you plan to use LED bulbs I highly recommend fixtures with frosted glass. These look to be well made & if they hold up like I expect they will they will be an exceptional value.

Because my house is being re-sided, I can't install the light just yet, but I've prepared it for installation. I have a lot of experience with installing various lights, so I don't worry about this one when the time comes. The light was shipped in its "store" packaging without an outer box. The box was slightly damaged when it arrived, but the light was undamaged. It had two quality control failures. First, there was a nick on the lower frame of the front panel that was noticeable enough to require a cosmetic fix. One of the panes had also not been seated properly, requiring me to unbend two crimps, lift the pane and seat it being the two lower metal tabs. Simple enough, but I did worry the crimps might fail on rebending, and I suspect they might not survive another such adjustment. The lamp overall is quite attractive. The pane portion is a 5.5" cube, while the full light is 9.5" tall. The light box comes filled with a styrofoam cube. To remove it, you unscrew the nuts holding the top on, and then gently push it up through the top opening. I was quite happy to have found this light, and it met my expectations for style and beauty. I have to deduct one star, however, for poor quality control

Easy to install, looks great. Craftsman items usually feature ginkgo leaves, which these are not, but close enough! Some reviewers mentioned it was small, but with a single door and a low roof overhang, it was just the right size for me. Beware of the styrofoam packing. There is a large block inside the light which keeps the glass intact during shipping. It needs to be cut to be removed, which you can do with a steak knife. Try to keep the packing in the plastic bag or you will have bits of foam all over the place. I would have liked to install it higher, but I used the pre-existing hole in the wall. Remove the installation bracket from any previous fixture you may have had there, because the holes probably won't line up. I installed the new plate directly to the electrical box.

These took about 10-15 mins to take off the old fixtures and replace with these. They are just the right size. Not so large as to be in the way of the front screen door, but large enough to provide balance to the back and side of the house. Very charming design. We like that you can change out the bulb without having to remove an screws or globe, and dead bugs don't collect inside. We bought this bulb (below) to go with them so we can leave the light switch on, and the bulbs come on automatically at night, without wasting electricity. Awesome lights that look great on the porch of our craftsman style bungalow. Well packaged to prevent damage. Little bit of magic needed to get them installed but I find most light installations these days require you to have at least three hands and arms ;-). The lights are well made and feel pretty solid. The glass is off white opaque and a 40W equivalent 2700K led bulb gives off a nice welcoming glow. I like the design. It's kind of Art Deco meets William Morris craftsman - not plain and ordinary like most lighting companies offer. Well done Hardware House. I definitely recommend.

It is an excellent light. It looks exactly like the picture. HOWEVER the packaging is a real problem. Inside the fixture there is a packing that must be dug out be hand or tool such as a knife. When that packing is touched, it realizes plastic beads which go all other the place. I have spend thirty minutes cleaning up the kitchen (where I dealt with the packaging). PLEASE get another packaging to put inside the lantern.
