Great for potatoes!
I bought 4 of these to begin with and then came back and bought this 10-pack. They are great. I'm using them to grow potatoes. My heavy, alkaline Ohio Valley clay just doesn't do potatoes well, and these have been a good solution. I'm using peat, perlite, random potting soil, and some organic fertilizer. So far my Red Norland potatoes are yielding 3 lbs per bag, which doesn't feel amazing, but is respectable. And in zone 6 I have time for 3 plantings of reds, so that's fun. But best of all is the ability to dump the bag into a wheelbarrow, find all the potatoes, and the pour the dirt back in the bag and plant again. WAY easier than forking through gooey or rock hard clay trying to find spuds, and stabbing them in the process. I've lined them up along the garden fence as an extra "row," and I'm totally going to keep doing this every year! Now, they are not exactly the sturdiest things, and I'm not sure about their possible longevity. The main issue is the handles - if it is full of wet dirt, for goodness sake don't just yank it by the handles! But if you are careful, and don't over load them, I think they'll do ok. The sides also tend to flop over if they aren't totally full - which is how I'm starting potatoes, then adding dirt to "hill" them later. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance when watering, mostly. And they do require more water than in-ground things - although mine are firmly packed together and shaded by the long grass along the fence, so that helps. All in all, I'd recommend as a budget-friendly way to do some container gardening, especially growing potatoes.

Well made, great price
I used the coupon, got a great price. They feel well made. I plan on using them in my next crop. I will update this review after harvest. They do seem a bit smaller than my other 5 gallon bags but not by much. Given the price on a four pack, I do recommend them.

Love these especially good for heavy waterers
Iโm on my second batch of these because I plant everything in them! They are big enough to grow my veggies and the handles make it easy to move them around. Sometimes a plant grows better in another location and Iโve been able to place my plants where they seem to like it best. I am growing strawberries, bell peppers, and now sunflowers in them and they are growing well. The strawberries were beautiful and delicious and now have even started shooting out runners.. It drains easily and is perfect for people who are heavy handed when it comes to watering.

I like it. Hope they last.
Only had this for a couple of weeks but as of now it seems like the most cost-effective way to plant something and have it look easy on the eyes. The only other option at this price point are the most basic throw-away plastic planters, so this seems like a good solution.

Not what you would expect
Definitely cheaper than many other options. If youโre looking for true 5-gallon pots, these are not those. Given their dimensions, these hold approximately 3.9 gallons. Less if you fill them up to 1โ or 2โ inches below the border, which would bring the capacity down to 3.5gal to 3gal respectively. Material thickness is also not what you see on the photos, and there is no actual specification anywhere on the product description. I believe these may hold up well, but I donโt expect them to last long. For what you pay, these may be worth experimenting with, but if youโre following plant requirements, I would suggest going with the next larger size, or look somewhere else.

Excellent option for backyard gardens
These really do work well. They're probably a little smaller than you'd expect based on the headline size, but my plants grew like crazy using these instead of plastic pots this season. They are very easy to slide around given the handles and I didn't have any problems with the fabric ripping out either. Just be cognizant that you probably will need to water more than with other growing methods since the sides allow the soil to dry out a little faster, however that's also a positive because you don't get root rot from sitting water. My tomatoes are huge this year once I dialed in the right mix of water for these grow bags to keep them watered but not soaking wet.

Durable and strong
I have many different sizes and have been using these for some time now. They are sturdy and easy to use. They drain well and are good for vegis. I have tomatoes, multiple types of peppers, green beans, brussel sprouts and carrots growing in these grow bags in my cement garden area. They are easy to move and the handles really hold up and are very sturdy...I have not had any issues with strength nor durability. Great product for those of us who don't have outdoor areas to plant in the ground. Definitely recommend these.
