Hold up to direct sunlight year after year?

I have had one in direct sunlight for 5 years. Looks better now than it did when I put it out. I think you can see a comparison on the website WaspOut.com that we made after several years. Obviously the fabric will get weakened over time in direct sunlight.

how do you keep it filled with air?

It does not inflate like a balloon, it is a tough rubber type stuff. It is crumpled up when you receive it, you merely blow air into it to put it into the shape it's suppose to be. Then hang it and it stays in shape unless you smush it. It sure helped me keep the wasps away from my front door.

Do these deter carpenter bees?

We honestly have had less Carpenter Bees since putting this up!
