This stuff is amazing. I am in my 40’s now and heard of a thing called nonenal. I didn’t know this existed and it freaked me out. If you don’t know what nonenal is, it’s basically just “old person” smell. We all know that smell. Just think of your grandparents house when you first walk in after not being there in a while. Apparently, nonenal is oils that oxidize and can’t be removed by normal soap. At least that’s my understanding and since it doesn’t get broken down it transfers to clothing, furniture, etc. Anything our bodies come into contact with. Now, we all know that we are the last ones able to smell our own funk but everyone around us can smell it just fine. And what I read it says that nonenal starts in your 40’s. See why I was freaked out now? But I am also going through perimenopause and am paranoid that I smell different because of the hormonal shift. This soap is supposed to be able to break down the greases that cause “old person” smell and also help deodorize hormonal smell too. So I thought I would give it a try. They show you the areas of your body where the smells come from. One of which is behind the ears and back of the neck. I would have never guessed that those areas caused the smell. But I think it’s fair to say that we all know how behind the ears can get real funky if they aren’t washed regularly. Now get ready because I am going to get slightly gross for a minute. I rubbed my finger behind both my ears and smelled and yeah, it wasn’t great, even though I just washed that morning. So I gave the soap a shot and in particular focused on behind the ears. The result were pretty remarkable. I washed behind my ears on day one and then didn’t do it again for 3 days. Constantly smelling that area each day. The smell stayed gone for 2 days and by about the 3rd day it was starting to become slightly noticeable. That made me a believer. So I started using it in all the places the nonenal is at. I start by washing my entire body with regular soap and then at the end of my shower I use this soap in all the places they teach you that nonenal shows up. I have to say that I feel much more confident about how I smell after using it. No one wants to go through hormonal changes but we all have to. At least now we can be more comfortable in our skin while we go through it. I know it’s very expensive for a soap. But it is worth it. And if you only use it on the parts of the body that the nonenal smell comes from you won’t have to buy it again for a couple of months. Lastly, you need to be aware of the many knock offs that are out there. Be careful not to buy a soap that claims to do the same thing for a cheaper price. As far as I know, this is the only brand sold in the U.S. that actually has the ingredients in it that helps with the smell. So only buy this brand and even then be careful that you aren’t being sold a bootleg. It needs to come from Mirai. Even here on Amazon, you need to make sure you buy it from the Mirai store. It would really suck to pay this much for a soap that never worked. All that being said, I know I am not going to be without it, but that’s just me. Hope this long winded review helps.

The product is wonderful for my skin, cleaned and smells good. Not overpowering in scent. Excellent soap. Seller was great and sent/shipping was great. Will order again

It has a lovely odor. And it lasts for a good amount of time for the price. It seems to work well to get rid of body odors. I I noticed there are some parts of the body that need a little more help. I tried Luma, which is great so if I do like it, but has not worked for this one thing that I need it for. The soap is standard size. I am not had any skin irritation, but I also make sure I'm rinsing well. And it's easy to use. It's a bar of soap. I think it's soap but it does contain persimmon something or other. And this one is lab tested so that it is effective as a deodorant. It doesn't lather as well as some other soaps I've used but that's okay.

Gentle. Cleansing. Moisturizing. Lightly scented. All good except the price!

Works great! Amazing lather and does not dry out my skin. It has a light fragrance that is not overwhelming. I will continue to order and use!!! It doesn’t last as long as regular soap so I’m buying it more frequently than I would any other soap. I Don’t mind though because it works!!

Absolutely awesome! This soap works! Just got done with menopause & yah it's true you do develop a certain smell even though I shower everyday . It's like using a clarifying shampoo but instead of a hair shampoo to get all the buildup out you're using a clarifying soap for your body..It makes sense actually, if all the hair products can build up in your hair then I'm sure all the body butter creams, lotions, colognes, sweat, can get imbedded on your skin & after a while hard to wash off & turn rancid.. So yah makes a lot of sense saying it that way .. I just ordered another bar so I have extra, so I always have a couple bars put back . I also bought some Terry cloth zippered bags with a strap to keep soap in & wash with,they are Terry cloth so they make an ideal wash cloth. I can rinse it, wring it, & I hang it up in shower to dry bought a pack of 4, then bought another so I have 8..I highly recommend this soap,I bought both the lavender scented & the plain one,the soap is hard milled &will last a while..I love it!!!

I'm 65, and lately I had noticed that even after I've showered, my neck and ears smelled dusty. I had clean sheets and pillowcases, clean hair, and clean skin. Still, I could smell that dusty smell. I googled that and some people develop a musty smell - mine was dusty. I learned that our skin oils and sweat change composition as we grow older. No amount of soap or scrubbing removes it (I was using a scrub brush). I learned that soap made from persimmons will remove the smell, because of the tannins. This bar of soap definitely works - I haven't smelled that dusty smell since I started using it, except when I've been running around and sweating. As soon as I shower and wash with this soap, especially my face, ears, and neck, the dusty smell is gone. My skin doesn't seem to be more dry than when I used shower gel.

LOVE this soap! Yes, it’s pricey…in spite of the small size, it really lasts a long time. I have very sensitive skin, but no problems with this-and it really works! It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. It’s the only soap in my showers, and goes with me when I travel. 🩷😊

Nice soap, lathers well, leaves you squeaky clean and is scent free. BUT, it only lasted me two weeks and that is only having one shower a day. I cannot justify paying £20 for a bar of soap every two weeks. Nice product, but far too expensive. I shall be trying the cheaper brands next.

Not worth the money. Very small size and no difference noted. I have used pears soap and palmolive green original soap and they work better. I won't purchase again.

I wasn't completely sure that the odour I was getting was due to 2-nonenal compound but thought I'd give this scent-free soap a try because nothing else was working. After one use I noticed a massive reduction in nonenal odour which disappeared completely after the second use. My only reason for not giving this item 5* is the price but as I only use the soap on one specific area it will last me quite a long time, I expect. This product is fantastic and I will definitely buy it again.
