The desk is beautiful. It does take about 4-6 hours to put together, depending on experience. Instructions can be a bit confusing. Purchased the hutch too. It arrived to two left side doors instead of the correct doors. Reached out to seller to send correction. Will update review when seller replies. Edit to update: I reached out to the seller about the incorrect door. They got in touch quickly and are sending the need part. Very impressive customer service. Updating to five stars.

The desk is made well. It took about 5 hours to put together but instructions were fairly easy to follow. there were no missing parts and they provided extra parts if needed. The top had a crack in it from shipping, but was not noticeable unless you were looking at the back of the desk. My only critique would be that the drawers don't fully extend. Color is great.

This has a ton of parts. But it was pretty clear in the instructions. Two old people (my husband and I) put it together in about 6 1/2 hours. It looks great and seems sturdy. We just ran into one problem when we thought we had two missing parts. But they didn't really explain the drawer slider hardware need to be taken apart. We contacted the seller and they sent us instructions on how to do it. We have our computer in the left side cabinet with shelf removed. And you really can't close the door when a flash drive is in it. We had to put the computer in at an angle. Just about an inch too shallow.

A beautiful desk once put together. It takes a long time to put together. It’s also super heavy in the box. Some of the directions seemed out of order, but everything came out okay with only a little bit of struggle. The quality is great and the color is even better in person.

At Almost 80 years old I was skeptical about taking on a project of this size: heavy with MANY parts. I left the box by the front door and unpacked it from there. Each wood part was numbered and I stacked them in groups by their # (1-10, 11-20 …) made assembly faster. All hardware & fasteners etc. were in individual bags, clearly identified. An Allen wrench and glue was included. You only need a screw driver for assembly. The instruction book was amazingly easy to follow…each step was pictured and clearly showed all the necessary information. The quality of the parts is top notch, all the pieces fit together easily. The finished product looks great and all the drawers & doors work easily. I did add small felt pads to the bottom corners before final assembly. It took me about a week to complete the desk - working alone for several hours most days. I built it in my den and used a portable table for a work bench…sitting down most of the time. The top is very nice and quite heavy - I had help carrying it and putting it on - otherwise I did it by myself. To be honest I have some experience in “do it yourself projects.”

Beautiful desk. It was very easy to assemble, it does take a couple of hours, but the result was worth the effort. It is very heavy and solid and should last a long time. Instructions were easy to follow even for someone not used to putting things together and i really like that spare parts that were included. It may be good have a second person around to help at certain points of the assembly, but one person could handle it if you don't have someone available. I highly recommend this desk and my work at home wife loves it as part of her home office.

This desk is very sturdy and attractive! I really love it! Be aware that it's not DIFFICULT to put together, but there are a ton of pieces and it takes a significant amount of time to do it. My brother put it together and he's great with these kind of projects and it still took him 4.5 hours of very focused work, even using an electric driver for all the screws. Also be aware the drawers are a bit shallow and don't pull all the way out, and the HINGE on the keyboard tray can get in the way of your mouse. Putting a mouse pad over it seems to work okay. Overall, love the desk! 4.5 stars.

Overall, we are pleased with the desk. We wish it was deeper, but knew exactly what we were buying. The biggest disappointment was the keyboard tray. You can’t have a keyboard and mouse in there next to each other. So either you have to reach over the keyboard to use the mouse, or you have to use it as a storage tray and move the mouse to the top of the desk each time. The wood seems to be of good quality and hopefully the finish will hold up. Just prepare yourself for building it. It took my wife and i over 4 hours to put it together. Most of the instructions were good, but some pictures were wrong. The biggest thing missing was the number of each part you need for each step. This would have kept me from missing the installation of one board. By the time we noticed it, it was too late. The desk would have to be disassembled to fix it and since they tell you to use wood glue you can’t get it apart anyway. It took me about an hour of cutting, sanding, and grinding, but I finally got the piece in and thankfully it’s in a place where it won’t be noticed. We are hoping for many good years from the desk.
