Put this one in a semi truck. Works really quite . Easy to install and plug into trucks electrical system Has a remote display to monitor voltage.

Easy install just know that for 120v bypass to work switch needs to be on. Other than that powers whole camper with ease without ever having to worry about turning inverter on or off

Avoid! There are many reviews that mention heat, melting, or related problems. My inverter was set at 60Hz, but about 25% of the time, it would start up at 50Hz. Using the wrong frequency could damage electronics, motors, and microwaves. I contacted Renogy customer support. Renogy support is extremely slow. I ended up burning through Amazon's 30-day return period. I was eventually given a warranty replacement. The replacement starts up at 50Hz about 10% of the time. Since it happens with multiple inverters of the same make/model, this seems to be a flaw in the design of the 2000W model (and probably 1000W and 3000W). Fire hazard, may damage your equipment. Do not buy.

On the first trip in my motorhome after installing this inverter, everything was working fine until I was preparing for the drive home the inverter began arcing and smoking. I opened a case with renogy for replacement. I am disappointed that it took nearly a month to complete this process due to what they said was a high volume of cases. I finally received the replacement inverter. It is installed in the motorhome and appears to be functioning properly. I have only checked that it powers on, and is supplying 120 AC volts. I have not yet tested the transfer function, nor placed any load on it. I originally purchased from Renogy because I believed you produced quality products. The fact that this process took so long because their staff was working a "high volume of cases" has now given me second thoughts about purchasing additional renogy products for my solar power system.

This runs my appliances cleanly without weird noise, flicker, or “something feels off” behavior. The Bluetooth monitoring is actually useful (not just a checkbox feature), and the install is straightforward as long as you plan your cable routing and fusing first. Feels like a legit upgrade.

Great customer service, very helpful and responsive. One thing I did not understand is that the inverter needs to be on in order for the automatic Transfer switch to switch between generator/shore power and battery power. Then inverter runs on battery power (not shore power). The problem I ran into is the battery went dead and the inverter would not stay on long enough to allow the generator to charge the dead batteries. This is a terrible catch 22 situation, especially if you’re far away from plug-in battery charger. In my opinion, this is a fundamental/fatal, flaw in an otherwise great piece of equipment. Several Renogy technicians researched and concluded that this is indeed the case. They recommended having a backup battery to hook the inverter up to in order to charge the other batteries from the generator or shore power. I would’ve thought the automatic transfer switch should work if it’s not hooked up to battery power at all, but that is not the case.

Powers my residential refrigerator in my motorhome. Works as hoped for.
