Works great, you may need to modify.
Really wish I found this product sooner! I tried the double-sided tape for this same purpose but the exposed side would get dirty and it slightly damaged the upholstery when removed. That said, the tape turned out to be needed along with this product due to the design of my furniture. I did just install so haven't yet witnessed my cat scratching it. I'll update my review after and report results. The size is perfect for corners of my couch and chair. The panels do come folded and have a crease. Lay flat for bit, per the instructions, or if you are impatient like me, heat the crease up with a hot blow dryer for less than a minute. It comes with a generous amount of corkscrew pins, more than double the amount you need. Here's where you may need the double-sided tape or another way to install.... the back of my furniture has no cushion, just wood covered by the thin upholstery so the corkscrew pins don't work. I pulled out that double-side tape and used that instead for the back side. Good luck!

Works like a charm!
We got a new couch a year ago, and found that two of our cats loved it as a scratcher. We placed a scratching post next to it, and they still chose the couch over the scratcher. We found these for sale on Amazon, and took the shot at trying them out. I wish we did it sooner! It instantly stopped the cats from scratching the corners that they were put on. Now they use the scratcher! Go figure! These are well made, and reasonably priced. You can get them in different sizes, or custom cut them for what your application requires. They attach easily with small upholstery screws and can be moved or used elsewhere if needed.

Good value
These have worked great on our couch, the cat doesn't scratch in those areas. Still had to cover areas like the back of the couch and just hung a blanket over the back. Stays on well, however, the pins included worked but a couple of them were easy to bend.

Cat scratch guard
Cat scratch guard It works great so far, easy to assemble and fit for whatever section intended. Only downside, not attractive. Clear but very shiny, too obvious. Wish it came in colors so it would be less conspicuous.......

No Cat is going to get through these!
This is a lengthy review, but may save you time in putting them on your furniture. First let me say this is not a flimsy plastic. Not only is it super thick, if you pierce it with a needle the hole will close up before your eyes! Totally kitty proof. I did run into two problems when following the directions, my fix, in the photos above, is the work around. The directions say to lay the protector on a cookie sheet and add hot water. These are quite big and don't fit in a cookie sheet. I laid them in my sink and filled the sink with extremely hot tap water. After about 3 minutes I laid them out on the counter (photo 1). Then I placed a cutting board and some containers filled with water on top of the protector. After a few minutes the center crease came out for good. The I wiped them off. They give you a lint free cloth to wipe them with. Second problem - the upholstery screws (pins). The seller give you a ton of these, more than you need. I got a very generous amount in the 6 pack. However, not all couches are padded on the sides where most of us cat owners need to put the protectors. Most couches have one layer of fabric over a solid piece of wood. Trust me, the pins will not penetrate wood. So I got several packs of tidy pins (photo 3) from Hobby Lobby (I'll save you a trip - Joann's does not carry them). They will slip between the couch fabric and the wooden side. I then punched holes where necessary in the protector. I used a 2" brad. The plastic will seal itself if you use a large needle, so go for the big brad. I punched 2 holes a little over a quarter inch apart for each pin. Do this before you put it on the couch, it is easier. The result is now a cat-proof couch. The protectors are almost invisible. Note: They go around the corners easily. This is a great product, and well worth the money in my opinion. The only frustrating thing was the protectors super-human power of sealing the hole you punch in it before you can stick a pin in it. I love that everything was included, especially the over generous amount of upholstery pins I received. I can always use them.

Good idea. Bad in real life.
I got a new couch for the first time in 10 years recently. My cat felt that he got a new scratching post. So I searched amazon for something to help my new baby from being destroyed by that selfish cat! This item looked like the best option for me because it was large plastic sheets that would cover a bigger area than the rolls of tape that I also looked into. This is a great idea, it was actually pretty easy to put up. But the pins that you screw into the couch don’t go in flush. So anything that brushes up against it will get caught in the pin and pull it out, which leaves the fabric torn worse than the cat scratching. Also this is better for a flat area than where I need it on the side end of the couch. I’m returning this and will search for a better option for my situation. Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. My reviews are always my honest opinion and I try to include photos if possible. If my review has helped you in any way, please click the "helpful" button below so that I know! Great Cat Deterrents!
I love these things! Unlike other cat scratch deterrents that actually teach your cats to claw your furniture, these keep my cats away and my furniture protected. I had a set on my last sofa for 6 years with no issues from the protectors or my cats. The price is great, too!

After 10 other failed ‘solutions’ hopeful these are our answer!
We have beautiful vintage arm chairs and we also have 4 naughty cats. Unfortunately our Arm chairs seem to be choice scratching posts for our cats. I’ve tried water bottle deterrent training, covering the chair with throw blankets, orange essential oil soaked paper towels, sticky paws tape, and regardless the darn cats still come back to the chairs. We love the original fabric and want to enjoy the appearance of the chairs without adding the unattractive metal corner guards I’d found suggested by other animal owners. Thought I’d take a chance on these scratch guards and am pleasantly surprised! The plastic is substantial and the pins are sturdy. They were easy to apply to the fabric and mold to the form without puckering or gapping. They don’t act as a deterrent to the annoying behavior, but they do a great job at protecting our chairs from naughty cat claws. Would recommend!

Se desprenden del sofá
La idea está buena pero se desprenden del sillón.

Good buy
Large enough to comfortably cover the corners of my sofa. They stick really well even without the use of the pins. But handy to have the pins if they are less sticky over time.
