Bought this for my husband and he loves it. I concur, the scent is nice and not overpowering. Packaging whimsical. Good amount of product. Just be aware soap is black and will leave black soapy residue on your surface, but it's soap, it washes right off.

I bought this soap as part of a hockey-themed gift. The overall old-school look was eye-catching as I scrolled through the hockey-related amazon search. After reading the ingredients and provided description I decided to give it a go.I love how it comes a tin can, making it portable to the gym and travels! The witty insert is a neat bonus too. I was surprised at how good it actually smells! My boyfriend and I enjoy the spearmint scent. Of course, how good something smells truly depends on a person. At first, my boyfriend felt odd about the black suds. Usually one associates dirt with dark suds. When lathering, it felt like the soap wasn't getting him any cleaner. After a few showers or so it wasn't as odd anymore. Now he says he "enjoys the tingly, refreshed and clean feeling" after every use.The suds may leave a bit of a dirt-like residue but if you rinse the shower/bathtub before leaving, it shouldn't be much of a problem. I saw that the company makes female soaps too which is good for me. Now, we can both look forward to trying the other tin can soaps!

I kind of thought it smelled like patchouli but my sister smelled spearmint; overall was a great gift for my mom! Good for hockey lovers, and smells nice, even when you can't agree on what exactly it does smell like.
