want a quick charge ? then get a constant 20A or at least a 10A charger like one in the picture
Useless for my particular situation ! Let me explain. I had only 3 hours time to charge Fully my Ford Escape 2013 battery. The battery was not empty but low 12.0 v (engine not running ,no lights on or radio on) I connected this charger and selected the acid lead battery type and set for 30A ,then I press START. The charger started ok showing pulses from Zero A to 30 A every second or so. I thought all is ok but 30 min later the voltage on the car battery went from 12.0 v to 12.2 v. I would not believe my eyes ; way to low.I discontinued everything and connect my old CENTURY 10 A (auto/manual)CHARGER. THE voltage on the battery went to 13.5 v in15min !! Then I understand the difference, The first charger is. Ot a conti uous charger but uses pulses that go to 30 A but it switched off in one second to start again ,it will take days to bring my 12v battery to a fully charged state. My old Century charger pushes 10 Amp Continuosly into the battery thus the charging is much faster. I am not saying that the pulse 30 A is useless, it is a great charger but was not for my particular need( when I wanted a fast continuously 10 Amp charging. Of course I know that I have to keep an eye on the battery voltage and disconnect it when fully charged Or I can switch this nice Century auto.atic/ manual 10 A charger on Auto so it will stop automatically when the battery is 90% full. I like to keep it on Manual because I get the full 10 A due to li.ited time I have (2 hours)

Works Perfectly For My Needs - Five Stars!
I ordered this battery charger to use in my home shop. The first one I received was dead on arrival. Thankfully, I was able to exchange the faulty unit and received a replacement that has worked great. I've used this charger on my John Deere 4020 as well as lawn mower batteries with great success. I LOVE the recondition feature and have experienced success in revitalizing old/worn batteries. Works perfectly for my needs - five stars!

Lots Of Features Including 2 On/Off Switches
This battery charger is different from the two I already have but donโt work as well as I want them to. For starters, neither one has an on off switch. This one not only has an on/off switch in front by the digital display, but one in the rear to shut the whole unit down completely. In the past, I have had to unplug either one of the chargers to reset it for an updated battery status check. Not so with this one. I can have it plugged into the extension cord, have the power switch turned off, hook the red cable to the positive battery post, then hook the black cable to the block ground post without fear of a spark or damage to the battery being charged or repaired. Once everything was connected, I just flipped the switch on and the digital display lit up. Since I was primarily interested in testing the device on an old dead battery in my pickup truck, I first read the instructions in the owners manual concerning the procedure for repairing it and held the Repair Mode button down for 5 seconds as prescribed. When I released it, the digital display immediately showed the repair mode functioning cycle and that it had been activated. As for the actual charge cycle, the step up from a 2.5 amp charging cycle, to faster cycles is part of the info produced on the display. Other readings include charge status, charge, voltage, battery type, etc. Also, the backlit display is easy to read in low light conditions, a feature my other chargers do not have. The automatic protective shutoff feature, as well as the cooling fan, are added bonuses, especially in hot weather when you have to keep the hood partially closed to keep the rain out. Will have to provide a follow up review after I test the Repair Mode function for a while.
