This Is Why I Love the Amore Pacific Brands - This Is Excellent
I did not go looking for another cleanser. I am already a huge fan of quite a few products under the Amore Pacific umbrella, and the last time I ordered from them they included a small sample of this Primera Oil to Foam Cleanser. I tossed it into my travel bag, used it on a recent trip, and spent the whole trip thinking, “I need to buy this when I get home.” So I did. That pretty much tells you where this review is going. I’m 53, post-menopausal, with dry, mature skin, so cleansers are one of those categories where I am much pickier than I used to be. I do not want that squeaky-clean, stripped feeling. I want something that removes sunscreen, makeup, and the general grime of the day, but I also want my skin to still feel comfortable afterward. This does exactly that. What makes this one interesting is that it is an oil-to-foam cleanser rather than a traditional cleansing oil. You start with it on dry skin, where it has enough slip to break down sunscreen, foundation, and other oil-soluble debris. Then, once you add water, the surfactant system kicks in and it turns into a soft foam. That means you get the makeup-melting benefit of an oil cleanser with the rinse-clean finish of a second cleanser, all in one step. The ingredient list helps explain why it works so well. The cleansing system uses several relatively mild surfactants, including lauryl betaine, potassium cocoyl glycinate, lauryl glucoside, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, lauryl hydroxysultaine, coco-glucoside, and decyl glucoside. Together, they do the actual lifting and removal of oil, sunscreen, makeup, and debris. I like that this is not built around one super-aggressive detergent. It uses a blend, which generally allows for effective cleansing without making the formula feel unnecessarily harsh. There is also glycerin right near the top of the list, which is a big plus for dry skin because it is a humectant that helps attract and retain water. Caprylic/capric triglyceride gives the formula some emollience and helps with that initial oil-like glide. Jojoba seed oil is another nice addition because it softens the skin and helps dissolve oily residue without feeling especially heavy. The formula also includes arginine, aspartic acid, soybean polypeptide, cocoa extract, and tocopherol (vitamin E). I would not buy a cleanser because of those ingredients alone, because this is still a rinse-off product and contact time is short, but they do make sense in a formula designed to be less stripping and more skin-friendly. The actual experience is what sold me. On dry skin, it feels smooth and cushiony enough that I can massage it around without tugging. It breaks down my sunscreen and cushion foundation easily. Then I add a little water and it changes into a light foam, which rinses away cleanly without leaving that oily film some cleansing oils can leave behind. And most importantly for me, my skin does not feel tight afterward. That is the part I care about. I can cleanse thoroughly without immediately feeling like I need to sprint to my moisturizer. There is fragrance in the formula, so anyone who avoids scented skincare should know that going in. I personally do not find it overwhelming, and because it is a wash-off product, it does not bother me. But if your skin is very reactive to fragrance, that may be something to consider. I also think this is an excellent option for anyone who hates doing a full double-cleanse every night. Technically, I still sometimes follow with another cleanser if I have worn a lot of makeup or several layers of sunscreen, but most days I really do not feel like I need to. It does a very complete job on its own. The comparison I keep coming back to is Sulwhasoo. I have bought the Sulwhasoo cleansing oil and cleanser and I genuinely love them. This does not mean I will never buy Sulwhasoo again, because I probably will. But this gives me a very similar overall cleansing experience for considerably less money, and that matters. When something costs about half as much and still leaves me thinking, “I would happily buy this again,” that is a strong value. Who is this best for? I think normal, dry, combination, and mature skin types will especially like it, as will anyone who wears sunscreen or makeup daily and wants one cleanser that can handle both the oil-removal and water-rinse stages. If you have extremely oily skin, you may prefer something with a slightly stronger finish. If you are highly fragrance-sensitive, I would also take that into account. For me, this is an easy five stars. The sample got me, the full size confirmed it, and now it is going into regular rotation. I will absolutely repurchase it.

Melts makeup and sunscreen
This is a great cleanser. Very concentrated so you can use a 1/2 pump and it is plenty. Really foams up with water and your skin feels squeaky clean after. Takes off makeup and sunscreen wonderfully. Would recommend.

one the best oil cleanser
Honestly I learned about this brand from le sserafim sakura and I really glad that i tried it. I now included this as part of my nightime routine. Skin feels really fresh and nice. i have dry and sensitive skin. My skin usually reacts when i try new product but this one didn't. Such a bummer that this brand is a little bit difficult to get. Recently went to Osaka and couldn't find it. Hopefully they will add more stores and maybe on amazon germany.

Amazing Luxurious Scent + Deep Clean in One Step
The PRIMERA Oil to Foam Cleanser is a total game-changer! It starts off as an oil that effortlessly melts away makeup and sunscreen, then transforms into a rich, creamy foam that deeply cleanses the skin. The best part? The scent is absolutely luxurious—light, refreshing, and spa-like without being overpowering. It lathers beautifully, leaving my skin feeling clean, soft, and nourished without any tightness or residue. It truly combines the best of both worlds: the deep cleansing power of an oil and the satisfying finish of a foam. This has quickly become a must-have in my skincare routine. Highly recommend!
