Exactly As Expected. Reliable welds!
These weld as well as any rods I've used, and slag is easy to chip away. I'm just taking off one star because they're not a great value compared to the same amount with almost any other brand.

6013 welding rods.
It works good enough for farm use. I like 6013 rod because I can lay down some beautiful welds even though I'm not the best welder. These are very easy to use. They don't stick to the project while you are trying to start the arc. They are sized correctly. The plastic sleeve is taped shut, so it's not what I would consider sealed. The rods don't say "6013" they have international or Asian markings. They are an average deal, nothing special.

Good quality 6013 equivalent (J422) rods
Great rods! The container was slightly overstuffed and were packed in upside down (arc end up, meaning the bare end of the rods were seated in the container instead of being covered by the cap), but none of the rods were damaged and none of the flux was flaking off, so it's all good.Note for those who aren't familiar with Asian rod type identifiers: the tube specifies the rods are type J422, which may be confusing if you're expecting it to say they're 6013 electrodes. Don't worry about it. The standards are pretty much the same (maybe even exactly, but I'm not qualified with the expertise to make that call) — they run at the same amperage range, use the same style of flux, and are intended to be used for the same applications. I didn't need to change any of my settings from what I had set to use the same diameter 6013 harbor freight rods, and the behavior wasn't any different.

Looks good
The rods that I received are all straight. The flux is in good condition with none coming off. I have no complaints.

Works fine, but boy do I need practice!
These rods work as well as the ones that came with my handheld welder. I am very new to welding and need a lot more practice, but I did not have any trouble getting a strike and they do seem to work well.
