My pug is currently on optimmune. can i use both??? not at same time but one in morning and other at night??? or should i call and ask my vet b4 usin

Yes, absolutely. You can use both. Cyclosporine which is the active ingredient in Optimmune, belongs to a class of drugs known as immunosuppressants. Optixcare is simply an eye lubricant. My doggie ophthalmologist prescribed both with instructions to wait about 10 minutes after applying Optimmune, before using Optixcare. Tip: Have your vet call in prescription for Optimmune to a compounding pharmacy to get drops instead of the tube with gel. Same price and drops are easier to put in the eyes and will last twice as long because you aren’t wasting any when the tube cracks and oozes out.

It does not sting or cause discomfort. The gel helps lubricate the eye and the eyelid. Our pup had an eye injury that causes her eye to be itchy and closing her eye and opening it hurt her. They told us to use this to help ease her discomfort while healing. She loves it.

What is the difference between this product and the optixcare pet eye in the blue green box?

I have only used this product per a vets recommendation never compared the blue green box
