I'm not a hat person but I needed to get something for a beach vacation. My expectations were low. However, I could not believe how great this hat is! It fits beautiful and can be adjusted. The quality, style and color is perfect. It's classy.

This is a great hat! I bought this one and a different visor-style hat for a recent trip because both had great reviews. This one was actually my favorite! I folded it into a fourth and packed it in my carry-on (basically folded it in half, pressed it flat, then folded it in half again, so the whole thing was a bit of a triangle shape). I had no idea if folding it like this would ruin it, but it returned to normal shortly after unpacking! I got it wet several times during the trip, and it dried quickly each time. I loved the chin strip, though I did flip it over the top and let it rest behind my neck most of the time because I wasn’t in a windy environment. It fit well and kept the sun off my shoulders. I burned my scalp using the other visor hat early in my trip, and I was so grateful to have this one for much better sun protection. Not to mention, it was so cute and went well with all my swim and beach attire. Highly recommend!

I had a sun hat made out of linen that I used for 2 years and it finally wore out and I decided to get something else and saw this and tried it. I received the hat and it was well packaged however, however there was a stitching flaw right in the front and center of the hat so I sent it back and received a second one that's just fine. Must be workmanship and sometimes that happens but otherwise this is a well-made hat and fits wonderfully, plus I really like the color. It covers the eyes too without coming down too far to obscure your vision. It is a bit heavier than my linen hat which makes sense, but not too heavy. I had to adjust it a bit but it stays on great and the chin strap works nice too it's soft. I recommend this hat, it's cute!

Bought the bigger size for my big head. Love it!! Got rid of all my other sun hats. This one rolls up and fits into the water-bottle pocket on my backpack, then I open it up an place on flat surface at my destination and the brim goes back to normal in a few hours. The tie is great for windy days. I got khaki which is a standard medium tone straw hat color. It isn't hot, seems to breathe. Brim doesn't flop like others. Great product!

While the hat came packaged well, I could never get the rim to stay straight - always a little droopy in places. Not as sturdy as I hoped.

I recently bought this hat for a week-long trip to Arizona, and it is a wonderful purchase! The hat got folded up and shoved in a very packed purse on the plane, and it looked a little crumpled when I pulled it out many hours later, but lo, overnight it went back to its shape, and it's perfect again, without any steaming or shaping! It's just the right weight, and a true, sturdy chin strap (needed up in the mountains, or I would have had it blow away). It was also (accidentally) worn in the pool and one side of the brim did get weight, but no bleeding/no stain, and no impact from the water. I have a pretty large head (a lot of 'large' size headgear is still too small.) I did buy this in the large size: this hat fit just right! For those with slightly smaller but still large noggins, there is a velcro adjustment. I've bought several hats on Amazon in the previous couple of years: most turned out to be useful for a week or so, but then the sewing gives out or the straw starts fraying, they look crumpled after one trip, and they turn out to be more Halloween costume style than a true hat... not this item! The hat is well made, actually packable, medium weight, with a real drawstring and it's flattering! I was so impressed that when I got home I bought it in another color. I'll note that the beige color is perhaps a bit thinner/lighter than the mixed black color, which is appropriate for very hot weather gear, but it's as well made as my first purchase. I cannot find any flaw in this hat, perhaps the hatband/chinstrap could be made with a slightly thinner cord, but that is my only, very weak, suggestion for improvement. Just buy it, I think you'll really like it!"
