I’ve never had a hummingbird feeder before because I thought it all seemed too complicated and I didn’t want to be disappointed by putting in a lot of effort and not have hummingbirds come. So I was happily surprised to see how easy this feeder attracted hummingbirds. They come all throughout the day every day. I will tell you that I bought nectar in the store at both Walmart and Lowe’s and the hummingbirds just weren’t that into it. However when I made my own using one part white granulated cane sugar to four parts filtered water I have hummingbirds all the time now. (Example, 1 cup sugar + 4 cups water) keep unused nectar in the refrigerator up to two weeks but not longer as it will grow bacteria. It’s very very important to change out the nectar every three days or so in the feeder so it doesn’t get moldy or grow bacteria because that can actually kill hummingbirds. : ( Which is obviously the opposite of what we’re trying to do! In the summer months you want to change it more frequently like every three days but in the cooler temps you can change it like once a week. But not beyond that. Again, our goal is to keep the hummingbirds healthy and happy! When you’re changing out the nectar, be sure to clean the hummingbird feeder out very thoroughly. I tried some other feeders from hardware stores and they leaked. Most also didn’t have a handy place for the hummingbirds to hold onto while they’re drinking. This not only doesn’t leak but it has that wonderful little handlebar as you can see in the video the hummingbirds use to hold on to. Obviously, because it’s glass it is more fragile than the plastic ones. but I’m just very careful and I haven’t had problems.

UPDATE: the slow leak was bothering me so I tried the second red seal that came with it, but it was much thinner than the original so it did absolutely nothing and would not stay on. On. I made sure after washing the parts and pieces of the feeder to dry them thoroughly and when putting the bottom portions together, once the rubber seal is in place slowly turn the bottom red portion which really makes it tighter and I have not seen one drop leak since doing that. I have to say this hummingbird feeder is absolutely beautiful and very high quality and we had hummingbirds eating from it within 30 minutes of hanging. My only complaint is there is a very slow leak. I see a drip every couple minutes and although it's not depleting the reservoir quickly, it's still leaking. I tried both seals and they both have a drip, but again it's not a huge problem because the feeder itself is beautiful to look at and loved by our neighborhood. Hummingbirds.

I very much loved this hummingbird feeder. Very beautiful perfect for our garden. However, the first one I received had a slow leak. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement the next day. Can't say enough about the customer service. I will be returning the defective one. I did not receive the extra gasket and cleaning brush with my first order but it did come with my second so for all of you considering purchasing this product please be sure that you receive the spare leak proof gasket and the little cleaning brush. I tested the second one delivered to me and so far it has no leaks. I have it hanging in the kitchen with just water in it with a towel underneath and it is flawless. It only took two days for hummingbirds to find this beautiful feeder.

Beautiful hummingbird feeder that is already in a turf war among a dozen hummingbirds outside my window! It has attracted so many of these little guys. Location is everything as mine is very popular; however, the exact same feeder I bought for my mother is rarely used where she lives. Pros: it’s really is a lovely feeder! I love the extra “S” hook to hang it a bit lower so I can see it out my window. It is sturdy on windy days and doesn’t drip sticky sugar water. Cons: it’s a little tricky to clean and replace the sugar water. I never fill mine to the top because sugar water becomes alcohol if left in the sun too long so I only fill it 1/3 full as it should be changed every 2-3 days. Even then it is hard to empty the sugar water without making a mess. If any water remains, if you unscrew the base with the feeder upright, the water pours out all over your hand and the feeder. There is no way to take the bottom portion apart to clean. After replacing the syrup, you have to turn the feeder upside down to screw the base on. If any fluid is in the base (which there always will be unless left to dry overnight), it will drip over your hand/counter when screwing onto the glass tank. Overall, I really like this feeder and would buy again. EDIT: while I was trying to clean the base while changing the sugar water, it came apart in two pieces screwed together with a rubber seal. This makes it very easy to clean and eliminates the cons I wrote about above. However, I will limit how often I take the base apart because there is a rubber ring that seals the two parts together and based on other reviews, the seal can break.

I am new to bird feeding and have been religiously keeping my nectar fresh. I finally had a visitor come to my feeder. It has been easy to clean, and I love the cheery pop of color it adds to our porch. Hopefully I can update my review in a few months if I attract even more birds. Since I am new I am off to a slow start, but the birds will find and enjoy this feeder. It came with several hanging options, a piece of twine, an S hook and a hook with a bug moat. We are using the twine for now but saved the other two options if the twine does not last. So far so good.

I cant get over how beautiful this is! I love blown glass and when I saw this online I had to wonder if it would be as nice in person as it looked on the site - it's better! The glass is very heavy and I have to assume it will be durable because of that. The bottom is kinda generic - plastic and metal mixed, not the best quality but does the job well. The glass portion is easy to clean, the bottom I would say is medium. I live out in the country, surrounded by farmland and very few flowers - I had tried hummer feeders before but they were a waste of time. However, this spring I put in 2 large flower gardens and now they are in full bloom - and it isnt just me that's noticing. I started getting "buzzed" as I watered my plants in the morning - a female hummer looking for a sip! I was so excited!!! Had this and the nectar delivered and set it up. Now I have 2 hummers visiting - the female and recently the male has shown up. They both visit the feeder (and the flowers!) and seem to be satisfied with what they are getting.

This is a beautiful hummingbird feeder. It was packaged well, came with a spare ring, instructions, and a tiny brush to clean the holes. While we waited to hang it I filled it part way and set it down on the deck to see if it would leak. It did. So I filled it 2/3 full. That was the trick - it has to be nearly full to not leak. Went out on day 2 to check it and it had shattered right at the opening where you screw it on. We never touched it after I refilled and set it back on the deck and it held water for several hours, so were thankful it wasn't hung yet!

I didn't find the birds being attracted to it at first so i added some more red markings and it seemed to attract more. All in all, the hummingbirds flocked to it all summer
