Great Buy
I received these speakers two days earlier than originally scheduled, and the packaging was adequate enough to prevent any damage. They appear to be well constructed and have a look of quality. These speakers are impressive. They produce a range of sounds that I expected from larger, more expensive designs. The frequency response exceeded my expectations. These boxes can deliver a punch when required and sustain powerful lows. This is a great buy at less than 100 bucks.

Sounds good and priced right!
I got these Rockville RockShelf 6.5 speakers after watching a cheapaudioman review on Youtube. He was right about them having surprising amounts of bass for a small sealed bookshelf speaker. His pair smelled bad, mine were fine. The mids and highs are good on these, and they're lightweight, making them great for wall mounting. They have magnetically attached grills, almost unheard of at this price. Pair them with a small class D amp and you'll have a good sounding stereo system that won't empty your wallet. There's a Pyle speaker that looks exactly like this one with the same performance specs and size measurements but costs forty dollars more! For the price of these, they're hard to beat. Get a warehouse deal and save even more. Recommended for a small to medium sized room with a fifty to hundred-watt amp.

The Name Speaks For Itself!!!!
Ok let me start out by saying that I've never been a fan of bookshelf speakers. I've always looked at them being cheesy, poor quality, and sort a like one of a poor man's audio system component. I had a full-blown sound system back in the day and it was awesome. It kept being pushed to different rooms in the house because of more important uses of the space it took up. Then finally I sold it and purchased a Bose Wave Radio with a CD changer. It fit nice on an end table and it sound great! The only problem was I had about 100 vinyl albums stored in my basement and they have been there for over 35 years. So now I have a small space in my den .Well I'm not going to get into all the tech talk about these gems I just purchased. I got myself a used receiver, turntable and a powered subwoofer that I didn't need . These speakers ROCK! Great mid range, highs and great bass. Sorry to bore you with this review but ....Just buy these speakers from Rockville you'll love them... and START ROCKING!!!!!!

Hi fi speakers
These are great bookshelf speakers! I paired them with my jvc RX R85 receiver. It was very easy to connect. The sound is great at any volume. I am so happy with this purchase. I would recommend Rockville to anyone.

Great sound but the rest is not soo good.
I bought these after I saw them featured on YT. (cheapaudioman) Firstly my set does not smell however I am going to start with the most important thing which is sound. I do a lot of testing and needed 8 ohm speakers. I test using mostly vintage 80s and 90s equipment that I restore so depending on what I am using as an amplifier, the sound will be different. That said, I am quite impressed by how these sound. Now on my more modern amplifier, a Sony STR-DH100 is what I use as my main system and these speakers lack bass and will definitely need a subwoofer though the midrange and highs are crisp, smooth, and clear. When I first tested these, the left channel would "pop" and this was on 2 different amplifiers. I saw reviews of shoddy soldering / connections inside the speaker and I had thought maybe mine was suffering the same fate. All this while I was using the supplied speaker wires that came with the set. The pop sound did not seem to occur when using thicker gauge speaker wires so be aware and that YMMV. In regards to build quality, these leave much to be desired. The seam joints are not tight and this is on both speakers. The wrap looks to be what is holding the 4 sides together. Speaking of the warp, it was already peeling from some edges out of the box. I have a set of 4 ohm speakers from another Chinese brand that is 10/10 quality on fit & finish and constructed the same for $30 less. I wish they made 8 ohm speakers or I would not have purchased these. One of the emblems on the grill was detached at the bottom of the box because the factory did not glue it in place. The grills look like a 10 year old made it on shop day @ Lowes / Home Depot though the magnet attachment points are a plus. I do not want to open these up to inspect the gap on the seems or to check soldering / loose connections as I would rather return and get something else. I worry about long term use even though I generally do not need to crank up the volume too high to get good test results. These should be $70 speakers not $85 - $90. I have until the end of this month to return or keep them so I'm going to try and find an alternative.
