Can this be used with dissolvable stitches?

The directions indicate the product should only be used after stitches have been removed/disolved.

Should you use scar gel under the tape ?

No. The tape is meant to be worn on clean, dry skin. Many scar gels contain silicone as the active ingredient, and this tape is in itself a layer of silicone applied to the skin, which makes additional scar gels unnecessary while wearing the tape. I would think that additional products applied to skin would also interfere with the tape’s ability to adhere well.
